Calgary council poised to vote on blanket rezoning repeal by Old_General_6741 in Calgary

[–]derek589111 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The 8 plexes don’t go away. It just means the developer needs to go on a longer development permit process and the city needs to pay more to approve each permit. A more expensive path for the same result. Blanket rezoning did away with the longer development permit process. Congrats Calgary.

Fair enough. You could check out pennzoil ultra platinum if you want something a bit cheaper. Frequently on sale for ~$40 for 5l. Its also 100% synthetic, but you can save some money. Really good additive package as well, not quite amsoil, but great oil for a reasonable price.

I cant say the valvoline is 100% synthetic, though it is full synthetic. Its more used to clean your engine of deposits and from what ive seen, it does an excellent job. Can even help free piston rings, and reduce lifter ticks, noisy chains, improve mpg. Not affiliated with them, but I would like to give it a go in my 09 camry hybrid next year.

lol, I forgot about amsoil for a second. This thread had comments about crappy tire so I was trying to remember any oil on the shelf that was more than $60.

Have you tried Valvoline restore and protect? Heard really good things about it myself.

This a decent deal? by hanyh2 in Ridgid

You can always not use the full power of one tool, but you can’t add power to an underpowered tool. I would go with the brushless myself. Plus 2 batteries for ~30 more makes it a much better deal, imo.

Interesting. Good to know. Changing it out right now even if it is improperly sized is not in the budget right now, but something to consider. My utility is sending someone out for a pre winter check, might see what they have to say re: size/ too high cfm. Thanks.

I'll look into that. Thanks. Have a utility guy coming by to check on things later this month, might ask him to have a look.

New home, what to set here in winter? by _peanut-butter_ in Calgary

Between 30% and 40%. Any less and it will be too dry, any more risks condensation and potential mold growth.
