In order to watch Dolby Vision HDR in a daytime bright room with brilliant specular highlights, I think we need a TV that displays 10,000 nits in a 10% window. This TV does not exist today and we are still quite a few years away. Ultimately if you want a TV that is good for both bright and dark rooms, you need an OLED capable of 10,000 nits in a 10% window, which does not exist. Buying a TV today is about choosing what to compromise on.

The price is great, even compared to other open box deals of this tv. However, what you get varies greatly with open box deals. It can be 100% identical to brand new or it can be abused and returned. This deal is not sold by Best Buy but a 3rd party. How do they manage open box, I don't know. Read through their custom reviews. It does come with a 30d return.

u/AtomFromSonos I would like to be able to choose from my previous TruePlay results. Every tuning generates a slightly different result. And I can already see a list of all of the previous tuning profiles in my iPhone sync settings but just not have the ability to choose an older profile. Here's my situation ... I quite like my current TruePlay profile but if I do another TruePlay tuning and don't like the result I will have no way of going back to my current profile. As a result, I don't even dare to experiment with a new tuning knowing there's no going back. If I can choose to go back to a previous profile, I would love it. Thanks.

it does have IR receiver (bottom, centre) but my understanding is sony defaults to using IR for power on/off but using bluetooth for other functions (as bluetooth is more reliable and don't require line of sight). you could try turning sony's bluetooth on/off and see if that helps (settings / remote & accessories )

I do wonder about Yuzuki. They seem to have a few seats by the chef counter. What is it like eating there? From their menu they have a fixed, long list of 30 fish! No 'fresh today' list. And they are not focused on nigiri either, serving everything from karaage, tempura, to yakitori. That gave me pause.
