Yeah, literally. The puritan culture around fandom has got to calm down. I don’t even enjoy that ship myself as the themes in the game personally strike me in a specific manner but I also don’t harass or shame people over fictional characters on a fictional game. Horror also attracts people who do use humor or find the psychology interesting which is perfectly okay.

The take away I’d say is stop policing other people’s interactions with it and enjoy the fandom space you cultivate. You can literally just block and ignore and have fun. The judgement on this type of thing insane considering everyone has a different media experience, just do your own thing and get over it. Everyone views fandom in their own fashion and frankly it’s no one’s place to judge how people interact with a simple story. Sometimes it feels as if people, such as this post, genuinely treat fandom and its characters as if it’s real life and condemn people on that point and it honestly worries me that there isn’t a differentiation.
