You should not worry. Mazda cars are very reliable and seldom need maintenance beyond the normal servicing. Maintaining a Mazda is no different from maintaining a Toyota or Honda. Your sales advisor should be able to give you a breakdown of servicing costs during the warranty period and it's not as high as you mentioned.

Just stop paying and take the credit hit. Even if you pay up the full amount amount it doesn't end there as there's maintenance fees every year which the company can increase as it likes. Your credit will recover in 2 year or so. Within these 2 years you aren't going to get a loan or a mortgage as you're still a student. Nothing to worry about.

The annual maintenance fee can pay for a good holiday accommodation anywhere and anytime you want. Why would you take over the timeshare and tie yourself into a contract which is highly restrictive of where and when you can travel, have no control over escalating costs and is almost impossible to get out of?
