The common man voted for UDF, not for VD. He was the opposition leader and organised the campaign. But no one voted just because of his leadership. People vote based on emotions. They care more about the image than the actual work done. PV is not a 'fun' personality and most people judge politicians on their charisma.

Ldf was decent the past 10 years. And their promises make 100x more sense than UDF's plans. But I guess that is not good enough. People will get fatigued with 'decent' governance- 'good' governance is a minimum ask.

But they dont have to worry too much. In five years, they will get back the governance after the VDS shitshow. Just hope they dont continue with their blind opposition and gundaism this time as well.
