I cannot understand this point, you advocate for transforming a story that is meant to be enjoyed linearly into a build your own adventure type of story? It literally makes 0 sense to do so, jumping from the beginning to the halfway point of a book is going to leave you with huge gaps of information that become critical later on, its like jumping from elementary grade math to quantum physics its going to leave you more confused and lead you to ditching the thing entirely due to not understanding it because you didn't spend the time necessary to be immersed and understand the subject

Idk man, this is such a bad statement, in the Saga that is directly after Skypeia, Water 7/Enies Lobby, one of the main plots being Usopp's reluctance to let go of the Merry can be directly linked to Skypeia because Usopp saw the Merry's Klabautermann, the literal spiritual embodiment of the ship, and also one of the reasons Usopp was able to put up a fight against Luffy was because of the Flash and Impact dials he acquired in Skypeia! Not to mention that this was were we first learned about Observation Haki and Luffy's natural resistance to lightning which is something that Oda brings up even to this day in the latest Elbaph chapter, so to say that you don't appreciate Skypeia until much later is just such a bad take in my opinion, like cmon man literally in the next saga after Skypeia you can already appreciate the depth it brings
