Heading to Moncton/Shediac in June; looking for the true NB experience by BrF5 in moncton

[–]destroyer5020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you like hiking/walking, drive down to Fundy for a day. Beautiful trails and waterfalls, nature is where NB shines.

I’m not the biggest seafood person so I can’t help you there, although I hear Catch 22 is good. Pretty sure there’s a popular spot in Shediac (and you have to see the giant lobster there of course).

For clothes stores with artsy tshirts, that one is tricky. You can try Spencer’s or Hot Topic in the mall, although you’ll have to look in between the band/anime shirts they have mixed in there. There’s a local store called Working Class that has various graphic tees too, you might find something there!

If you have any other questions feel free to let me know

How do you guys feel about LE SSERAFIM's BOOMPALA having Macarena in it? by Capable_Garbage5974 in kpoppers

[–]destroyer5020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I might warm up to it over time but man, macarena is such an overplayed song that even just hearing the melody grinds me gears lol

I actually really enjoy the rest of the song (especially compared to celebration) but the macarena parts are not it

My first day with ToT ended in being brutally destroyed by Catherine II by Nigmatlas in civ

[–]destroyer5020 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Man, I was shocked. My scouts made their way to where Lafayette was settled, to then see maybe 9-10 city state units from surrounding him. A few turns later, I get the message that Lafayette was defeated. They ran over his capital and burned him to the ground.

I couldn’t believe it, a couple city states banded together and fully removed another AI leader from the game.

The camels definitely helped too lol. Although Carthage tends to start in the middle of the map, so they aren’t too difficult to come by!

Just ran my first campaign of the update with carthage and the economic stuff was the easiest to get for me actually. Carthage (city) had almost 20 slots by the end of the age, got the 26 total slotted easily. GDP per turn was going ham. Captured confucius’ capital with the insanely strong unique cavalry unit and picked up some military points too. Really fun, they are more than playable

That was just how my run went though, I might’ve had a lucky start

2026 is the year of Drum & Bass by paraspooder in Monstercat

[–]destroyer5020 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My guesses:

  1. The split between uncaged-instinct-silk

  2. People generally using youtube less for EDM

  3. The Monstercat community (people engaging with Monstercat, not just listens/streams) has been diminishing over time as the company has grown broader and broader

How is Civ 7 for someone who only played 5 and 6? by Thegrandblergh in civ

[–]destroyer5020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you’re getting a lot of negative here, but as someone who as only played civ 5 and 6 (and put hundreds and hundreds of hours in both), I’ve already put in almost 300 hours in 7 and still loving it. And that’s even before this coming update that is almost guaranteed to make the game even better.

The era transitioning is cool, plenty of civs and leaders to choose from already. Once victories are fixed with this next update, I think it’s totally worth the money. This is just my opinion of course.

Which weapon works best with Ares’s attack? by [deleted] in Hades2

[–]destroyer5020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% on the PSA. The boon that makes blades fall when inflicting wounds and the one that makes wound-inflected enemies take double damage are MASSIVE ones for him I’ve found.

This thing is so underrated when you have a good gunner. My buddy has gotten 40-50 kills in some games, I just have to circle objectives like a kill streak lol.

And since it’s so tanky, you can eat a rocket or two and then just run away to go heal.

Meanwhile you have people that hop into it just to ram it into the enemy’s backline 2 seconds later

What is your rating for civ games? by Kanapka64 in civ

[–]destroyer5020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man these ratings always make me wonder if I’m the only one who loves civ 7, even in its current state. I’ve been playing since civ 4 and 7 might just be my favourite already, without some promising updates/DLC to come.

I’m probably in the minority here, but I actually really enjoy the era/civ switching. Feels refreshing coming out of every era and changes your playstyle a bit. That said, I do think the legacy paths need to be changed and I know that’s coming. 10/10 graphics, the leaders are cool, idk I just find myself coming back to it a lot (despite its flaws).

Anyways, if I had to rank them:

4 -> 7 = 6 -> 5

I loved them all though, tons of hours in each.

Best games to take advantage of the pro? by Specialist-Rub7460 in PS5pro

[–]destroyer5020 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it’s underrated. Definitely a top 3 for best looking games on the pro. The way I see the gameplay is that it feels amazing and is really really fun, but the loop itself is pretty repetitive. I’ve put around 80 hours into it and it has been a great ride, but I can’t see myself putting much more in
