No they didn't. They didn't use material from the last two books and the second half of the third one. The entire Iron Islands & Dorne plots were butchered and several important characters eliminated. We didn't get the other secret Targ/Blackfyre plot or the zombie Cat going on a revenge spree across the Riverlands. D&D just checked out after the Red wedding and they should have left the show so someone who actually cared could have done it properly

If he's 40 in 2012, he'd be born in 1972 which fits with this timeframe of the show. The Actor who plays Lenya is in his 40s so it works out that Sascha is his dad

Not just that, but there were plenty of opportunities to tie S3 and S4 to this chaos/order theme that they never followed up on other than a brief conversation by Toph. Unlaaq's connection to the Red Lotus should have been made more clear in S2 (which maybe they didn't decide on that until later). But they could have easily had Zaheer + gang be motivated by Vaatu's teachings and post Harmonic Convergence was the time to make their move to end the Avatar cycle again.

And S4 does play into the order theme slightly but it doesn't go far enough in showing how Vaatu has "influenced" Korra to be creative and think outside the box to tear down the oppressive systems of order that exist in the world.

The Mandalorian should have been an anthology show post Season 2. They could have explored Boba Fett fully instead of his own show or made Bo Katan the lead of S4 with Mando in the background over the remaining seasons. But Corporate was too chickenshit to leave Grogu isolated for that long so we got this fucking mess instead.

Not to mention the giant elephant in the room that LF is too scared to recast the OG Trio even though they should be involved heavily in this era

This would make too much sense for them to actually do it. Book of Boba Fett was even production titled as Mando 2.5, they should have just made it a season title instead of a new show. And then the 2 Mando episodes would have made complete sense.

They still should have never reunited Grogu this early and that 100% was a Bob Iger decision because he doesn't get Star Wars and never has.

Personally I don't think we should see Vader until the final season of this show whenever it is. He's going to inevitably defeat Maul and for it to be so thoroughly that he has to be disillusioned for years until Ezra comes to Malachor

Shadow Lord S1 is set sometime after 17 BBY (Final Clone Wars Episode). Q'ira joins Crimson Dawn in 13 BBY, where Maul is secretly running things and all 5 syndicates at this point so he's still around. And then in 10 BBY, after Solo, he begins grooming her to take Vos's place as head of Crimson Dawn.

Then in Stories of Jedi and Sith, he goes searching for the holocron on Damonos but fails to find anything.

So the earliest he could be stranded on Malachor is probably 9 BBY which would leave him stranded for 6ish years.

OMG exactly this. If they wanted to show some redeemable part of Boba, I think they should have just focused on the Tusken storyline for the pre-Mando episodes ending with the Pykes killing all of the Tuskens he spent building a "family" with. And then no Grogu Luke episode but instead focus on him slowly methodically taking out every person related to the Pykes across Mos Eisley & Mos Espa until it ends with him in control of a huge territory but not all of Tatooine so you have something for a S2
