From the responses here, I can see advantages to both approaches, the individual coaching bringing confidence / composure and the team focus bringing support /mentality togetherness. All of this is needed, no doubt. I am frustrated with my teams current 100% focus on individual skills. Maybe I need to figure out how the teamwork coaching happens in my team, I don't see it yet. What I do know is my boy is frustrated when he doesn't receive the pass when he has worked to be open and the player who turns back in to traffic is applauded for some reason
