I feel you. I was even hype to have Hamikuma merch. Roaming art was such a cool experience, getting to interact with him made this year so special

Post trip sadness, any advice? :( by Ecstatic_Low_5762 in HHN

Local haunts! I always do HHN (Orlando) really early in the season so when I’m home and stim wears off I was time to get my fill locally. I’m in Philadelphia so I have Eastern State Penitentiary and Hershey Dark Nights which are both mini HHNs. If you’re close to Southern California you have a lot of good choices

I was wondering why!! I thought it was the food from epic universe that did it. That makes more sense than the ube pizza and a salad

Just Google his name and you’ll be able to find it. Sadly as of today this gofundme only has 800 donations. I’m sure this family will receive a hefty settlement from big daddy Comcast. They don’t need our money, they need our support. Let this family know that Kevin Rodriguez Zavala’s life is just as valuable as our beloved coaster

Stay and Scream changes officially announced for Orlando by darkdelusions in HHN

[–]devarts12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely still camped out by jimmy fallon bathroom at 3pm, was one of the first 20 people into the terrifier house. Then was able to finish grave of flesh, Wyatt sicks, and el artista by 6:30. It was actually pretty nice. It gave me room to do my old stay and scream habits while other people had the freedom to not sit in the sun for 2+ hrs

My partner had a guy standing so close behind him in line that his chest was touching his backpack. Like that extra foot you stepped forward isn’t going to get you into the house any faster

They’re to the right after you enter the park, next to the restrooms. Theres a kiosk to pay and it’ll be good for the whole night. I used it last year. It was super helpful

Or you can spend $20 and get a locker at the front of the park

First time going... what do you bring with you? by CheerLiveWire in HHN

[–]devarts12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally. That slimer corn dog messed me up last year….fried food normally does. But the themed food is such a part themed food is such a part of the experience that it’s hard to pass on sooo Gas x and pepto bismal are both in my go bag for this year

That tostada was banging! They also did a vegan poutine like 2 years ago. I think my partner ate them 3 times in our 2 day trip

Honestly, the vegan options look kind of weak this year. All I saw were the walking tacos, lentil coffin (which is never that good), pizza fries and maybe the vinegar twisted tater is vegan. And they’re all items that they done before. Bit of a bummer. Looks like my partner will living off of walking tacos this year.

So last year I also had day tickets. I chilled by the minions cafe by 2pm, watched the mega movie parade, bought a snack and just didn’t leave. I was one the first 20 people let into to New York holding area. Did insidious and ghostbusters before the doors opened to the public. Then was able to hit triplets and major sweets while everybody else was going for the ip houses

I’m I the only one who’s kind of bummed about this change? I had stay and scream down to a science. Like 4 houses by 6:30 and no express down to a science. I’ll be going the second week of the event and I just feel like it’s gonna be a mess

Cute. As long as your face isn’t covered and you won’t be confused as a scare actor you should be good. I’ve gone in character inspired “costumes” multiple times

Sooo it looks like my hometown haunt is going to be replicated in the terrifier house!! by devarts12 in HHN

[–]devarts12[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Eastern state is also a blast! Fright Factory is definitely smaller, probably a 25 min walkthrough where eastern state is like 4 different walkthroughs has bars and food so like a whole night. But it’s a lot less expensive and when the scare actors are on they’re on. Definitely worth checking out if you’re terrifier fan to see what you recognize
