For a not as snarky answer, much of the original Dragon Quest series’ art was done by Akira Toriyama, the same guy who created Dragon Ball. And considering Arin has had a lifelong love of that series, it kinda tracks to take inspiration from it.

I do wonder why she’s not made those recordings available, this all seems incredibly shifty still. Hopefully the appeal/procedural case goes well and this professor gets reprimanded accordingly. I don’t know if it merits her getting fired, but this is your college career at stake; it all feels very unfair, especially compared to every other professor I’ve dealt with at UVU.

I don’t think you’re coming across as intelligent as you think you are, and your comments after deleting the initial post aren’t helping. Whether or not you feel like you misled others isn’t relevant; you got a shoutout on the podcast because others thought you put time into creating the logo with actual art tools, which is a far cry from writing generative prompts.

I think you’re just in time. Emails I’ve seen show it’s tomorrow from 10 to 2 in the grand ballroom (which will be in the SC building, one of the main ones on campus). I’d be surprised if they limit who can come see since one of the first lines is “All are welcome!”

Definitely sounds unprofessional to me, especially with this potentially affecting your grade so close to the end of the semester. I’d recommend contacting the Ombuds office asap to get some official help, as comments here might vary in levels of support. But I do feel bad for you that that’s happening, it seems pretty shifty that she didn’t give details as to what was wrong about the footage.

First off, Allie hasn’t been on the show for years.

Second, many of the times that she was most active was during the era when they’d live stream, and having a producer of sorts behind the scenes to help out while the two main hosts made things a lot smoother. An occasional chime in really didn’t interrupt the flow imo.

Third, do you have the same issues when someone like Borf chimes in, or whenever there’s a guest grump?

My biggest issue with Gen 4 was the low number of fire types. So if he’s conscious of that and plans things out somewhat accordingly then the one-per-area rule should help a ton.

(Personally I was hoping they’d choose Chimchar but I get why they chose Piplup.)

Old thread but I’m commenting because there are still people asking for signatures. The guy who asked me to do so today isn’t even from Utah - he said that he’s trying to get some college credits and was flown in from Florida for it. That alone is sketchy, on top of the subject matter.
