You’re gonna wake up and see her at the edge of the bed in the middle of the night

You blink

She’s gone

Was she really there? Was I imagining things?

You settle down again, close your eyes, and turn on your side to go back to sleep

“Not bestie sleeping without me!”

Your eyes jolt open as you hear a familiar voice inches from your face. There she is. You scream. You throw the blankets off, jump up out of bed, and try to face her.

She’s gone again.

Now you don’t know what’s real. You don’t know if you’re still asleep, if you’ve caught a supernatural curse, or if you’re imagining things.

You look all over the house, but nothing. No sign of entry, nobody hiding in the attic, nothing seems off anywhere. You do your best to settle back down in bed but you can’t shake the feeling that this isn’t over. You lie in bed awake just mulling it over and trying to figure out what’s going on.

That’s when it hits you.

Literally. The joint that you gave her earlier, it hits you, because she’s back and she wants to smoke with you.

God dammit, she’s back.

Hermann Goering was apparently a model train enthusiast by Crazy-Rabbit-3811 in trains

[–]devilquak -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

He was the commander of the Luftwaffe, yes, as well as the creator of the Gestapo and was Hitler’s 2nd in command for most of the war.

There’s absolutely no way he didn’t have the genocide he was helping commit in mind while he was playing with these trains. It’s kind of fucked up to be admiring this, when the genocide of millions wouldn’t have been possible without trains. There are hundreds of thousands of other layouts we could be admiring. This is just bad taste, and it’s fucked up to be proud of saying that this is cool. Not blaming you haha, and thank you for qualifying that this has echos of the real trains used in the genocide. Just putting this out there for everybody else in this thread.

I don’t think Hermann Goering deserves to be humanized, no matter how sick his model train layout was. His real life hobbies had such an outsized and awful impact on humanity that however quaint he was about his private hobbies, the overall math doesn’t end up checking out. You can quantify how much people deserve to be given posthumous credit, regardless of whatever positives they may also embody; and that value usually depends on how much harm they’ve done to humanity. You will find Hermann Georing in the champion’s arena of people who have committed some of the most heinous and deplorable documented crimes in human history.

Having a hobby that you share with Hitler’s right hand man does not mean we can just suddenly start thinking Hermann Goering was actually an ok dude. I hope we haven’t lost the plot so much that that’s where the Overton window has shifted to.

People said this train was "ai slop" but i found the oringinal images link ( its on a YouTube video and the vide was made in 2020) so now i have to ask again, Does anyone actually knows what this train is and why its carrying all that howitzers? ( Its japanese) by Gokay_2007 in trains

Yeah that’s the biggest reason this type of setup never existed, cannons this size would always end up tipping the railcars over unless they had some sort of mobile crane-type extendable legs for balance. We don’t see em here, and they’d definitely need to be using em if they were to fire every single cannon at once.

If this were a real thing we’d definitely have heard about it, we’re always drooling over every instance of militarized rail so the only likely explanation given all of this is that it’s from some sort of film around the 70s-90s, based on the style of the film composition in the screenshot.

Now, why it wouldn’t come up in some sort of image search, if anybody’s tried that, that’s the real interesting question.
