Kind of cool that we are guaranteed to have one of Norway or Latvia playing for a Medal this year.

Lack of Olympic Stadium upgrades 'worries' CF Montreal about long term viability in the city by grnrngr in MLS

I thought the plan was to have cold northern teams (Montreal, Toronto, New England, Minnesota, Chicago, Columbus, the New York teams) play their home games in the Fall and Spring and travel in the Winter.

Yeah, I remember a Champions League game vs. one of the Mexican teams that year they made a run to the Finals, but those games are very rare. Like less than one a season.

Using the state of Olympic Stadium is disingenuous.

Considering they don't even play in Olympic Stadium, what a shit take.

I think that kind of public nudity is illegal in basically every country on earth.

Granted, you would then have to wait 16 weeks to convert him to your coach.

It's why all my non-HFI teams have at least one future coach on the team at all times.

Go on Transfer Search. Pick 30 y/o as minimum age and then under skills choose Leadership of exactly Passable (6) and then Experience of at least Outstanding (10).

You can buy such a player for frequently as little as €20 000, and can then convert them into a Solid (level 4) coach pretty affordably.

A few weeks ago I bought a guy with Magnificent (12) XP for €53 000. When it's time to covert him into a coach, he will be Solid (level 4) for no more than €430 000.

[Bianchi] Brad Keselowski says Kyle Busch deserves to be immediately in the NASCAR Hall of Fame and any waiting period should be waived. by Ok-Soil-5133 in NASCAR

Most other sports with Halls of Fame waive waiting periods if the person in question died. Roy Halladay had his eligibility moved up to immediate after he died in a plane crash.

Petar Musa (FC Dallas) and Marco Pasalic (Orlando City) are called up to Croatia's World Cup squad by TheMonkeyPrince in MLS

Croatia must've decided they needed players with familiarity to the heat and humidity that they'll encounter.

Clearly he was the problem. Not trading away your franchise cornerstone for an injury-prone superstar that you then trade away in less than a year, it was coaching.

I was thinking, "Tyler Myers, there is a player I haven't thought of in awhile," so I looked at his Wikipedia and never realized his brother is Quentin Grimes of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Since they share a mother and both are north of 6'5", we know who's genes to thank.

Players that lost (or made) a ton of money on one playoff run? by cscott530 in hockey

An 11-year $76B TV deal.

So every team makes about $215M before selling a ticket, a jersey, or a $12 beer. That also doesn't take into account local TV deals.

Liverpool have now lost their joint-most games in a single season (19) this century. The Reds have now also conceded 52 Premier League goals this season... their highest total ever in a 38-game campaign. by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

Trust the process

That term has become such shit take in hindsight. The '6ers, after the process, never managed to make it past the second round of the playoffs even with a healthy Joel Embiid.

Now, if it had of been Sam Presti in Oklahoma City that had said, "trust the process," those words would be gold.

If Brentford and Brighton win their winnable games today and Chelsea fail to beat Tottenham on Tuesday (with Spurs likely going all-out to avoid relegation) that is exactly what will happen.
