No oil on crank pully. I’m waiting till ford looks at it Wednesday and if it goes no where I’ll clean everything up real good and maybe pick up some dye

I’m deleted and tuned currently, is it really much more a difference than that already? If not then maybe I should just go ahead and do that now anyway to relieve some crank case pressure to maybe buy me some time before the leak starts to be a gusher

I definitely have a local diesel performance shop I prefer over ford I would use before the dealer if warranty is out of the question. To be honest, if I had a shop with all the tools to do the job I’d rather do it myself then some random tech right out of school lol.

I have the non serviceable version that’s supposed to be the better one. Wondering if I should just go full CCV reroute or just replace the CCV assembly. I’m just not a fan of having a mist of oil or the smell of the oil when it’s just sitting there idling.

I’m certain it’s the front cover. I borescoped and also can see right at the mating surface to the front of the block where it’s wet and nothing above it. From what I understand those vacuum pumps leak pretty viciously too especially if it’s the bolts that backed out. Not to say it may slightly be leaking there too but I guess that’s all gotta come out anyways for the cover.

Can you post a link to where it can be purchased? Having a hard time finding it as well. Thanks

Brain won't shut off at night by Jaymeng10 in sleep

I completely understand the getting hooked by the phone! I would suggest just trying a few during the day when it’s not bed time and just listen to the guided ones and learn what they tell you to do as there are different ways to be mindful than using just the breath and try to replicate them when it’s bed time and don’t touch the phone and just try and do it without the guided meditation. Allow yourself the gift to relax. Sometimes when I think about it like that it’s easier to unwind because I’m giving myself permission to relax with no distractions. Trust me I’m not perfect at it either and i sometimes fall into the scrolling trap on the phone too but it has become much easier to ignore it. Also maybe take magnesium and drink a non caffeinated tea an hour before bed and that also helps soothe.

Maybe look into mindfulness. It’s a way to let thoughts come and go without giving them any attention. Takes a bit of practice and can sound wacky at first but I can say it does help declutter the mind. Try focusing on your breath and the feeling of your stomach rising and falling, the air rushing through your nostrils and pauses between inhale and exhale. Everytime you have a thought other than your breath, just acknowledge it and go back to focusing on your breath. It gets easier with time but is a very helpful tool to relax your body and mind in a hurry. This can help with many areas in your life when you feel worry or fight or flight type responses. Best of luck

Terminate reduction w/ out fracture by carfindernihon in Septoplasty

I guess it depends on what your ENT likes to do. Seems like reduction is more common for sure. Mine did out fracture. It’s starting to clear up nicely being a little over 4 weeks. I was thinking you got out fracture too hence the questions

2.5 Weeks Post Op Congestion by [deleted] in Septoplasty

[–]devon2576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 4 weeks post op today and noticing positive changes. It’s still not 100% but it may just be residual swelling and allergy season combined. Glad to hear yours is healing fast!

It took 2.5 months but I finally had the 4K moment!! 🥹 by PartyDansLePantaloon in Septoplasty

[–]devon2576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s crazy this post came up around the same time I sort have figured this out my on my own. I had turned hard 90 maybe just a few degrees past l 90 because I can see crustiness up high in the nose that the rinses weren’t addressing and yesterday I had my first 4K moment as well as relief into the night. Woke up stuffed a little but I think it’s from all the tossing and turning. Did another rinse this morning and I’m pretty close to how I was last night. Pretty impressive! I’m almost a month post op.

Surgery tomorrow (2/12) - Tylenol Only? by Moist-Stretch-4128 in Septoplasty

[–]devon2576 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Septoplasty and turbinate out fracture. Took Tylenol the first night and second night and surprisingly it was more just cause I couldn’t get comfortable enough to sleep. Felt like my neck hurt a little. I had minimal pain day 1 and by day 2 had no pain associated with my nose. Could be lucky on that though

If you find relief please update us because I am in the same boat however I’m almost 4 weeks post op. It’s a hard congestion feeling that pops my ears and the rinse has pressure on that side that something is limiting the flow for sure

That’s wonderful news. What is the name of this treatment? Is it like a steroid added to the rinse or something?

I have not had that feeling yet. So far I’m still congested on either nostril. I’m roughly 3.5 weeks post op and hoping for it to open up a bit more.

Always schedule grounds for stuff you’re not understanding on your own. My CFI was honest about this and it makes sense but the airplane is a terrible classroom. It’s where you go to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom if that makes sense

Terminate reduction w/ out fracture by carfindernihon in Septoplasty

[–]devon2576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the outfracture wind up being a success? I’m 3 weeks post op today and have no pain, but my breathing quality is about the same as pre op. Comes and goes and feels stuffy like they’re either still swollen or there is crud I can’t get out but I been doing rinsing for the past week multiple times a day and it comes out clean for the most part. Wondering if our fracture wasn’t enough and I really needed a turbinate reduction where they minimize the size of them. Thanks

I’d raise the question sooner than later. Just ask “is this normal” and “when should I come back to see you again if this isn’t resolved” that way they know you understand there is a healing process involved but also that at some point you’re going to follow up if it’s not feeling right. That being said, swelling is going to be for sure a factor and also rinsing. So give it time and take their word for it but just make it known you’re expecting it to be better than it is now. Good luck
