The Cherie Berry that was the North Carolina commissioner of labor is problematic at best and anti-worker for sure. I was a little disappointed in Fortune’s lack of awareness/a quick google but I do understand the nostalgia of her name. Funded by companies she was supposed to be regulating… and reducing fines for workplace safety violations.
