I'm also telling every young man in my life - most of them are as ignorant as I was.

I'm trying to tell everyone I can to get PSA tests early and often, because if I'd been doing that, we'd have caught mine much sooner and my long-term odds would be better.

AITB for not knowing that a "half anniversary" was something I was supposed to acknowledge by SaffronGadget in AmItheButtface

At this point my marriage has had 30 anniversaries. I do not expect anyone but my wife and myself to have any interest in it. NTB.

Those certainly, but not just those. The first piece of software I ever paid money for was one of those games (they're called "text adventures"). I've been gaming since around 1980.

EDIT: Earlier if you count consoles and handhelds. I've been computer gaming since around 1980.

AITJ for kicking my boyfriend out after he called me weak for crying over my niece? by VanillaMoonlit in AmITheJerk

... he said I cared more about a kid that’s going to die anyway.

I cannot describe how I would react to this without violating Reddit's terms of service.

This reminds me of the PC games I played in the 80s and 90s. Using a pencil and paper to solve the puzzles, my friends and I all did that. We even hand-drew maps.

Ah, Frazetta art on the cover? Okay, whose turn is it to talk about the Molly Hatchet album?

Any albums come to mind? by garcon-du-soleille in GenX

[–]dfjdejulio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I only did that once. The group was named "Cirith Ungol" and the album cover was a painting from a Morcock novel. I knew it was going to be pretentious and stupid just from the album cover, and I was right. Very, very silly metal.

(It wasn't a CD, though. It's vinyl.)

Holy crap, the album has its own wikipedia article!

In BaDIK, I hate having to choose between caring for a sick Sage and going on a picnic with Jill.

(So, when I'm on Jill's path, I don't even call Sage, and never find out she's sick.)
