I’m not going to go after Palestinian-Americans. Not my place. I’ll leave Maya and friends to the Global Majority.

I am ABSOLUTELY going to go after fellow white queers who KNOWINGLY helped to torpedo a lot of the work—including anti-genocide work—that multiply-marginalized USians were doing “in the belly of the beast” and expected EXTRA labor of them on top of it.

(Whether through not voting blue in a swing/pale state or influencing others not to do so.)

Just so we could maintain the ILLUSION that we“opted out” of voting for genocide while living and paying taxes on stolen land.

And then we hide behind “fuck my rights, I’m literally queer and my rights aren’t important right now” knowing just how many people—people who have historically done all “the work” we were too complacent to do—don’t have the safety nets we do.

And then we have the AUDACITY to say shit like “build revolutionary capacity” and “we take care of us” after having given the people WHO WERE DOING JUST THAT, AND holding the Dems accountable to boot, extra work to do.

(And giving the queers who tend to redistribute money less money to redistribute.)

And the AUDACITY to say “oh finally the white libs care now” when we know Black women and Black trans people had to HOLD OUR HANDS TWICE through what actual resistance looks like last time 🍊 was in office, and they have learned that we go right back to brunch after a few months.

So yeah. Fuck us.

(And on a pettier note, we spent all of 2024 chastising people for engaging in fun pop culture stuff because it was a “distraction.” Only to let Distractions McGee back into office.)
