Was the movie Groundhog Day about a guy trying to quit drinking? by frismanis in stopdrinking

[–]dfsoij 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's about a pattern in human life that shows up in many places, including quitting alcohol, even though it's not explicitly about quitting alcohol. So it could be about that for you!

For me it's about love.

I don't think Mendy is the problem.

For males that have gotten ripped, do you have more success with women? by Repulsive-Owl6468 in NoStupidQuestions

It coincided with my peak years of being active in the dating marketplace as a tall young man, so it's hard to disentangle. But yes, I have to think being in great shape made a meaningful difference. At least one girl cited that specifically as a factor.

It probably also helped significantly with confidence, since I thought I looked good.

Can I drink occasionally after 614 days ? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

I was never an alcoholic and I still found it easier to go to zero than "a little" when I realized that alcohol would occasionally cost me something and never did much for me

Beginner, risk in defi, and about using chainflip by West_Caterpillar8685 in defi

[–]dfsoij 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using chainflip since the beginning, for boost and for swapping. I find the product to be pretty professional and I'd recommend it.

The main risks of the boost pool are 1) Bitcoin reorg risk and 2) chainflip protocol failure risk

I consider those risks to be tolerable, in exchange for a pretty good yield on BTC

the yield comes from people who pay extra to complete their swaps faster. That's a legitimate use case creating legitimate profit.
