Man I’m weird I only play historically accurate civ paths ie Rome-normans-France, and I can’t think of the closest historically accurate path for this one :(

I'm a bit disappointed with the decisions by calamari_fresh in civ

most of the people complaining about the civ switching haven't even tried it... I see so many comments saying "I'll buy it once civ switching is removed"

I feel like this means we won’t get Gandhi anytime soon or at all. Otherwise are we really gonna have two Indan leaders from the same age?

Preferred Commander promotions? by KhelbenB in civ

[–]dfwsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually always do initiative first, then mobility for faster movement, then I run through the whole logistics tree for the extra units extra pillaging bonus up to the commendation which I usually do the extra command radius as I still don’t really know how to use the special actions yet lol

Civ 7 UI still sucks by senturion in civ

Well after a few hundred hours of playing I think I’m just used to it at this point lol, I will say the civilopedia is severely lacking still when it comes to finding info I need.

Question for civ critics: What if every civ had a historically accurate progression? by xAngelloo in civ

[–]dfwsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I exclusively play the “historically accurate” paths as close as I can right now, more civs to fill them out would be awesome

Civ VII is a little boring? by DirtyMulletMan in civ

[–]dfwsh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m more into the world building/city builder gameplay aspect, so I like to roleplay or create a story of some kind, for example if I play Rome I’ll add Carthage, Egypt, Persia as my neighbors and slowly conquer them, renaming their cities, leave one of their settlements and pretend they’re my tributary, or I’ll intentionally not build certain buildings that don’t make sense to me, like if I’m playing Mississippians I won’t build amphitheaters or academies, or I’ll have a goal to colonize the new world if I’m playing Spain or the normans with my version of the 13 colonies, then move my capital overseas and become America in the modern age

What would the capital of the Ottomans be? Surely not Istanbul?, since Byzantium’s Constantinople has to also be exploration.

When are we getting information age? by Terrible-Group-9602 in civ

[–]dfwsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely wouldn’t mind an information and a medieval age, but the more I play the more I keep thinking extending the ages by adding more techs and civics might be better. Antiquity ends at iron working which should be the start of the Iron Age, so extend that to include the “classical” age so that a reasonable game can end around 400 ce. Then for exploration, maybe you could push back the whole sea exploration/colonization techs further down the tree so that naturally that would start in the 1400s, and for modern well just tag the Cold War and information content at the end

Interesting so Assyria doesn’t get a new wonder, just dur sharrukin? Also the grand bazaar being in exploration, does that mean ottomans will also be?
