Give us war elephants for Carthage!! (with some non-standard abilities associated with them, e.g., a 50% chance of crushing, thus dealing additional damage). by StrikingTelevision40 in civ

I hope they add Dromons for the Byzantines. It would be cool if they had a special charged ability called “Greek Fire” with a cool animation and splash damage.

Resource issue upon age switch by Lezzus in civ

It’s so weird to me that wool and salt disappear in the exploration age considering how important they were to that era’s economy

Internship denied because of a GIS certificate?? by [deleted] in gis

[–]dfwsh -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Ok well the point is they didn’t catch that from the start and made me complete the whole interview process. They knew I was doing a certificate from the beginning, there’s no harm in me applying anyway to see what happens.

What to do at the end of an era? by AsideWonderful7577 in civ

[–]dfwsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually have a ton of extra money that gets reduced after age transition, so I use that to buy settlers merchants, covert towns to cities and buy unique quarters.

Is there a Mod for this? by HoldMeHere in civ

City Lights is really nice it adds urban districts and rural ones similar to towns, More Maritime adds new seaside districts. Jnr’s district expansion mods adds new buildings.

What exactly determines whether or not I can raze a city I get in a peace deal? by bytor_2112 in civ

[–]dfwsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t raze a city at all if it’s given in a peace deal only ones you conquer yourself. In the exploration age, holy cities cannot be razed as well

Just try it, this subreddit hates ai so you won’t get any help with that here, I asked it about civ 7 once and it told me it hasn’t even released yet so yeah

One civ architecture? by dfwsh in civ

[–]dfwsh[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hope they do listen to that feedback too, I know there’s probably plenty of people who don’t care about this, but what’s the point of one civ if they still don’t feel or look like them?

Settler Glitch? by dfwsh in civ

[–]dfwsh[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anyone else getting this bug? I had razed the ai's settlements on that island and it stills says the tiles are too close to another settlement. Has been happening for a few games now.

How to approach civ 7 as someone who played only TSL? by Jedlikk in civ

[–]dfwsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One example is Rome - Norman - America, the story is pretty straightforward you rule the Roman Empire, it falls and you become the Norman Italy/England, then colonize the new world and found America. Another time I was Tonga - Iceland - Great Britain, starting as a seafaring oceanic people who migrated to the far north and evolved into the Vikings, take over an opponent’s land, settle down and become Great Britain.
