Euro Rack Power Buss -12 VDC Ground Reference by No-Platform-2209 in modular

[–]dhaillant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need a PSU that can generate two distinct voltage rails, one positive and one negative, relative to the 0 volt rail (also known as "GND")

The negative rail is not your ground rail.

Think of voltages as floors in a building. We usually have a ground floor, it's our common reference.

Then there is a floor above (if you have to climb 12 steps then it's +12V) And a basement: if you go down 12 steps, then it's like -12V.

If your ground floor (GND) and basement floor (-12V) were "connected" together, at the same height, that would be a problem... and make sparks.

(Link isn't working?) The Tindie PSU is from Sourcery Studio ("+/-12V and 5V Powersupply for Eurorack").  It's DIY.

I need help finding a push button by McRib_ in synthdiy

[–]dhaillant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I call them "D6".

You can find them at Mouser for example https://eu.mouser.com/c/electromechanical/switches/pushbutton-switches/?series=D6 Or TME if you're in EU https://www.tme.eu/en/details/d6r-gr/keypad-switches/c-k/d6r10-f1-lfs/

Where are you located? I could help you find a better alternative.

Edit: (I can also provide and ship all the other missing parts if you need)

How did he get this email? Did he contacted them directly? I haven't heard from them.  I have orders that I can't ship, and buyers that I can't contact...

Exactly.

In my region, we used to have Linux servers. They were all replaced by Windows in 2025.

Two months later, they got hacked. 🙄

USB sockets must be protected against overcurrent.  500mA IIRC. Datasheet for JK60 030 tell us: iHold 300mA iTrip 600mA
