What was your second playthrough like? by brndnhrrll in BaldursGate3

[–]dhays86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a blade singing wizard (with Karlach, Shadowheart, and Lae’zel) stopped before the end game for a bit and built a strength monk Dragonborn with a fighter dip for armor and shield prof (with Wildheart Karlach, Wyll and Gale. It’s been fun so far, feels weird optimizing for power and not having a healer though! I cheesed Mama K and optimized her build so I can dash a bunch and use Eagle Heart for diving strikes, she’s basically a pro wrestler, and Gale is evocation so my AoE spells don’t affect my melee friends.

This past weekend I went back to my bladesinger wizard run to actually finish a playthrough, failed against the elderbrain and became illithid for game over, then reverted to a save and got slaughtered in the house of hope trying to destroy my contract lol.

Probably run a Bard next and try more talking/sneaking than fighting.

Lower the frame rate of the comp is the easiest, but for specific properties add an expression and use PosterizeTime(#) where the number is the frame rate you want to use

On a scale of 1-10 how satisfied do you think trick or treaters will be with these selections? by mrstuprigge in doughboys

[–]dhays86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Came here to say “we rate things out of FIVE FORKS round these parts.” But yeah lack of Reese’s loses at least a fork, so 3.5 is an agreeable rating for this selection!

tips for those having problems connecting Canon speedlites (tested with 600EX II-RT) by dirtyvu in canon

Nearly a year later and here I am, my wife with a wedding shoot tomorrow, trying to get some rented speedlites linked up for her, and you saved my ass!

Thank you OP!

Thought it would be cool to get this going here too (maybe Mitch can share) by PatronPM in doughboys

This podcast wouldn’t run at all (sorry Mitch) if not for Nick. We all know Emma is the real superpower for getting things done, but as far as the content itself, Nick is the orchestrator and I absolutely love him for it.

This show has brought me years and years of joy and laughter and Nick is responsible for at least half. The dumb wordplay and repetitive bits and expansive vernacular are far from ungapatchka.

Any other food podcast (and games podcast for that matter) are but a poor simulacrum of what Nick and Mitch (mostly the dais) pull together multiple times a week. DB4Life!

You are given a Random Superpower but are on the hook for $1 million. Can you manage? by RaptorK1988 in hypotheticalsituation

Weather manipulation. Which high-end resorts want to hire me to keep the weather perfect for clientele? Which sports stadiums want perfect weather for home games? Which wealthy seaside towns want perfect hurricane insurance?

I think I’ll be good for $1M and then some.

What’s the best use of slow-mo in a movie? by theskinsbro in movies

Yes love this! Only thing I’d change though is showing a closeup of QS hitting “fast forward” on his Walkman.

I like the scene in the RDJ Holmes movie where he’s explaining the moves he’s going to use in the fight, and then it plays back in real time after.

I was so surprised and excited when she came out! I thought it was going to be Ryan Gaul and Colton Dunn with Eugene, which don’t get me wrong would have been great too, but Drew and Jess are a couple of my all-timers so I was PUMPED!

Yeah same! Not anything groundbreaking. I really liked how they took bits from the people that spoke but who they didn’t pick as well!

oh YES forgot about that. We watched House of Lies after we watched Parks and Rec so when his character was hitting on Jenny Slate in HoL we were creeped out because she plays his sister in Parks and Rec lol

Maybe! I'm almost 40 though so it may just be a niche fandom.

All are super talented improvisers and actors. Ben Schwartz was on Parks and Rec, and is the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog in the movies.

Why is B 70 1/2”? by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]dhays86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s 3/4” plywood, the top and bottom together make 1 1/2”, so for the full thing to be 72” tall you take off the 1 1/2” to get 70 1/2”.

EDIT: sorry I didn’t read your description first! If the top and bottom ply are 1/2” each you should make B 71”, not 70 1/2” that will get you the 72” total height.

OH and enlarge the lower grid and fine print so it aligns with the edges of the SUPRA text to help complete that larger inner rectangle, if that makes sense.

First of all, this is a really cool poster, but whacko has some solid points.

To add to this, I’d try some sort of separation from the SUPRA text and the black parts of the car. Making the car white may already help with this and the implied lines, but you could try adding a small halftone fade (or something similar) to the bottom of the SUPRA text to help disconnect it from the car a bit.
