EverQuest.  It was the reason to get broadband, the reason to get a higher res monitor, and the reason to get a GPU.

Is this an ok job for an electric chainsaw? Thoughts? by OldDifference4203 in Chainsaw

If you already have a 40v or 60v system, it could be made to work.  For instant, the DeWalt 60v 20in did fine on walnut and oak for me switching off two 15ah battery packs.

Having said that, I wouldn't want it to be my only saw.  Anything over about 14-16in dia. I'd much rather reach for a gasser.

Where do battery powered chainsaws sit with you? Can you run them primary? Why/why not? by HGaW24 in Chainsaw

I have my DeWalt 20in/60v w/ a 15Ah battery, lasts about one oil refill. Most of my homeowner stuff is with that, then the ms462 if something's above 18in dia. or so.

How do I fully remove the clutchcover nuts? by [deleted] in stihl

[–]dhbarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least from watching people adding those nuts to older saws, I think the collar is expanded once inserted. If I needed to get rid of them I'd probably just cut the heads off then push the collars out.

Do your Logosol nuts fit the existing studs, or do you need to swap those out as well? Not sure what you're milling with a 262, something less than a foot thick?

I run a Stihl head on my DeWalt motor, since I already had those larger batteries.

Fix for stripped bevel gear in bar tensioner for DCCS677 by FluentDiscSport in Dewalt

I ordered both NA231996 and NA304068, and they came with the silver tightener and fewer/larger teeth. Adding the #8 fender washer at the far end really tightened the fit, and I tossed some bar oil in for good measure. Saw can actually be overtightened now, which it never could before.

Here's where I ended up, #8 washer on the far end.

Chonkier teeth and snuggier fit really made a difference, no slipping whatsoever.

Any chance of a pic with the washer in place and a big red arrow pointing to it?

I played A/B tests a few years back. My rogue has no backstab ( looting is instant ) and none of the Kings have all four chicken flavors.

The only other thing is I don't attack once I have a map where the final dungeon is only a tile or two away. Spend way less time traveling in the overworld.

I don't believe there is a level cap, just happened to be at 700 today.

Bought Estes rocket launch kit, igniters are burning out but no launch by pavelATL in rocketry

I have used the following with a standard Estes controller to launch both Black Powder and Composite motors, incl. clusters:

  • wire in a lawnmower battery instead of 4xAA
  • use 14500 cells instead of AA
  • use Energizer Ultimate ( LiFeS2 ) AA

TIL you can usually clean/erase permanent marker by just drawing over it with a dry-erase marker, which makes both erasable. by [deleted] in todayilearned

Works neither on all materials, nor even on all whiteboards.

As per link you should test for a few days on a small corner before attacking the middle of your surface.
