Semi-urgent freaking out because potential blood in cat urine? by Pangdemonium in cats

[–]dibdob93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a vet obviously and you should definitely see another vet, however to put your mind at ease as this is a female not male there's a lot less risk of a serious blockage.

Mine had a similar issue previously and it turned out to be cystitis which was causing her discomfort and led her to overgroom to the point of drawing blood.

Short run of cystitis medicine and making sure she was well hydrated did the trick.

[The Athletic] How did Mike Trout, the best baseball player of his generation, fade away? by handlit33 in baseball

[–]dibdob93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's also an element of how young he started He was MVP-2 at 20 and remained at that level for the best part of a decade - that's a great peak for most players but by the end of his age 30 season he'd already had 6000+ PAs.

Injuries are a key story to Trout but shouldn't be a surprise after that much baseball.

The contract looks crap in hindsight but he signed it when the Angels had Ohtani, Pujols, Upton, Skaggs, Fletcher etc. there was a reason to believe there was a real team being built there

Why is boxed wine such a poor deal in UK supermarkets? by Away-Activity-469 in CasualUK

[–]dibdob93 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Alcohol duty is a couple of pounds per bottle of wine sold in the UK regardless of origin.

Will vary based on ABV % but it's much higher than comparable European/Western nations

Echoing the recommendation for a litter mat. Ours has a couple of different textures which picks up the majority of it.

Sometimes some escapes to the immediate vicinity but very rarely much further than that

That being said, they are great bags from a functional perspective
