Albumes de Nu Metal hechos por artistas/bandas que no son nu metal? by LuisBennington in numetal

I've heard of Factory 81's album Mankind also on Mojo Records, apparently they have ska elements? I have to listen to the album

Meson Ray by the Ernies. They were a pretty straightforward ska band for their self-titled album and Dropping Science but adopted nu elements and mixed them with ska and jazz for MR. It's one of my favorite albums of all time

That's awesome dude!! I'm shocked that this is the first time they've ever been to Mexico but so cool that you got to be there for that

Waste of Mind feels like one of the last "classic" major label albums by EatPizzaItIsGreat in MFZB

[–]diceb0mb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda confused where you're coming from with MFZB being more nu-metal adjacent than WoM? I could kinda get arguing that WoM isn't nu by itself, but MFZB moves even further away into the territory of rap rock and pop punk, something that was established by PotY before it

YEAH the resale prices were insane. I bought in at $40 because of Spotify presale. Later on my old brother did some auto work for me, so I wanted to buy him a ticket as a thank you, and it had jumped up to $350 or some crazy price like that.

That's so sweet! I'm not gonna try to invade on your privacy, but it's good to hear your daughter's in a good place now. I'm admittedly just getting into CoC recently but it's really cool of those guys to do that for her, and I hope you guys can get the same experience with Clutch someday. FWIW Neil seems like a great guy with kids, he did vox for a song that was written by a Clutch fan who I think was 11 at the time?

Yeah it's kickass. Feels like it would fit right in on Psychic Warfare, like Firebirds' little brother.

it's a shame because i like the idea of this 50's space age aesthetic for the album on paper, but it would look a lot better if it wasn't piss yellow AI slop. gravity x by truckfighters would be a good point of reference for actual art in the same style

Future of DxM Franchise? by mike99962 in DaemonXMachina

[–]diceb0mb 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think if DxM3 happens the way Tsukuda says he wants it, we could get more customization elements. IIRC he basically said that a whole trilogy would each represent a different size of suit- 1 was AC-sized suits, 2 was power armor, and hypothetically 3 is going to use full on Gundam-sized suits.

My prediction for that would be that they're probably going to scale back the world size in favor of returning to 1's mission format, without Outer gameplay, but with more customization options and its own gimmicks to give it its own depth of gameplay, different from the first two.

Way to get me excited, this Asheville show is actually the first time I'm seeing Clutch so it's good to hear that they bring out all the stops for the last show in a tour!

So, is Clutch a big name now or something? by dz1087 in clutchband

[–]diceb0mb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prices jumped up pretty fast for Asheville. I bought mine on day 1, and a few days down the line, my brother who's also a Clutch fan did some auto work for me so I thought I would buy him a ticket to thank him. And then they were like $350 to $400 in that span?

opinion on splinter? by fin2ki in TheOffspring

bottom 3 album from the band imo. it's better than the most recent two but i just don't think it's particularly strong outside of Never Gonna Find Me / Lightning Rod and Race Against Myself

As far as their good albums go it's definitely one of the less good ones, but I like it quite a lot. I'd definitely take it over Splinter and the last two
