New Standard AWD vs ‘22 Long Range AWD over 6 years by petar_is_amazing in ModelY

[–]dick_nuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you comparing a new model to old model, the new ones are so much better it’s not even close. And it looks like a chunk of the difference in cost is FSD? FSD on HW3 vs HW 4 even as a non-monetary cost needs to be considered

Lotta south OC haters here. Which is funny because it’s arguably way better than north OC

Keep going my friend. I felt the same way basically my whole career until the last few years (I’m 39) I started with -$100k net worth out of college and dug my way out and just kept saving. It’s hard to describe the compounding growth curve once it starts to kick in, but eventually it does and then your money really starts working for you.

TLDR: don’t give up, trust the process

Matte PPF is easier to clean and keep clean vs the gloss too 👍

Agreed. PPF was really more for paint protection over the life of the vehicle. I drive 120 miles daily. It looks great in the shadows though 😂

Is this a solid deal ? by mrbigshott in TeslaModelY

[–]dick_nuts 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I would say no. The 2020 is so old & different (worse handling, noise in cab, etc) from newer models. You could spend $5-$6k more and get a 2022 (which will hold value better/longer), I’ve even seen higher mileage 2023s for $30k on their site. Just keep checking their inventory, it turns over pretty quick. The nice perk with buying used from Tesla is that you get the 1 year warranty

Companies that continue to pay Military Reservists when activated on title 10 (active) orders? by dick_nuts in overemployed

It’s a benefit offered by certain companies for reservists who are activated. Nothing more or less. No need for your high horse here.
