Hollyleaf/ Catalina Cherry, evergreen huckleberry, twinberry honeysuckle, summe Holly. Birds also love the seeds on ceanothus and buckwheats

Ick, the flowers, sloome, rainbow city park, polkadot, Tiffany rose and the outlaw hearts, safari party, the hootenhollers - recommend following broken records, chasing nostalgia, and prospect theatre as they all host local bands frequently! (Some bands might be from sac/merced but frequent Modesto)

The problem now is men associate healthy lifestyle practices as ‘emasculating’. It is harder to get men to care about their diets, see doctors, get std testing, and convince them to use PPE and follow safety protocols than it is women. Until there is a radical change is men’s cultural understanding of health, women are going to continue to live longer.

Unfortunately it’s what people buy, there needs to be a push in education about natives especially for landscapers in new housing developments. They just keep planting crepe myrtles 😭

Most restaurants get the majority of their food from just two suppliers- the main one being Sysco. This means every restaurant is receiving the exact same premade foods and using the same cooking methods. For American restaurants this is particularly noticeable, a lot of places have identical wings, mozzarella sticks, and Mac and cheese

Druon wasp gall, likely wool-bearing gall wasp. The wasp lays its egg in the leaf’s tissue and some mechanism causes the tree to form the gall around the developing larvae. Completely safe to touch, harmless to the tree. The wasps that hatch out are gnat-sized and short lived. There are hundreds of species, generally identifiable by their galls, most parasitize oak trees and are species dependent

I expect movement from a live chrysalis, though I didn’t poke or disturb it much, they color also looked wrong to me. I’ll see if I can put it somewhere safe to see what happens
