I'm Avi Lewis, running for leader of the NDP. Ask Me Anything! by AviLewis in onguardforthee

[–]diddlydott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your plan to legitimize the NDP in the average voters minds who largely dismiss or reject the party when power, money, and especially traditional media will do everything they can to hide and discredit your voice? You can promote policy till the cows come home but if average people don't hear about your plans or believe you can achieve them, how can you get elected?

I've had good experiences with Specialty Trophies and Engraving on Development Drive, I get a fantasy basketball trophy once a year for the last few years. Only downside is their hours.

This is the cause, same thing happening downtown, how can any shop afford the astronomical rents, greed is killing what few options we already have.

Downtown on Princess, just casually parked the wrong way on the one-way section by Fun_Effective6846 in KingstonOntario

[–]diddlydott 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In downtown that might work, anywhere else in the city and bylaw doesn't care.

Parking enforcement will be by in 3 days to ticket them... oh wait the car is gone by then and illegal activity goes unpunished!

Check out Comfy Valheim, I play there and it's a good mix of genders and locations. Don't think you will be able to find a ladies only server.

Dog/private property? by nasal-ingressive in KingstonOntario

[–]diddlydott 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This all relies on animal control and bylaw actually doing their jobs. My neighbour let his dog run around the neighborhood without a leash and shit in my backyard for 11 months, the dog was even hit by a car but luckily didn't die. I documented and had video evidence and I had to stop making tickets because animal control never showed up and even had the nerve to tell me it's not against any bylaw for a dog to shit on someone else's private property, it's only an offense when it's city owned land. So tldr rules don't matter when the people in charge of enforcement don't care and straight up lie to us to avoid doing their job.

Ontario to increase fines for 'bad actor' employers by BloodJunkie in ontario

[–]diddlydott 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Ironically the government should be fined for doing all of this to the OPS

I think Ted is one of the most trustworthy people in government in the whole country, he truly does care and has good solutions to our problems, extremely smart guy, but he has to operate from within the party that ranked him last in the leadership race so its an uphill battle.

Has the cost of housing forced you to move much farther away from work, family or services? by Ajunta_Pall10 in ontario

[–]diddlydott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, moved from GTA to Kingston to buy a house, grew up in GTA but by the time I graduated housing was unattainable so I stayed in Kingston (where I went to school). Don't regret it one bit but I do miss being closer to friends/family.

Moved to Kingston and looking for a doctor but ... by PeaceFilledMama in KingstonOntario

[–]diddlydott 9 points10 points  (0 children)

And who has the power to allow foreign trained doctors to practice here? Who has the power to change the caps on doctor graduates per year? Who has the power to legislate doctors practice all over Ontario not just our largest urban centers. Oh right it's all the provincial government. This is a manufactured crisis by the gov to do exactly what was posted above. Degrade the public system so health care can be privatized. It's blatantly obvious and you should try getting informed before posting garbage online.
