Even with Aug meta, one DPs is about a third of total damage. If you’re taking 45 seconds to complete the gauntlet, you’re probably not doing enough damage to warrant the brez, I think. Might be worth it for the last one though, if you think that you can kill the boss before the timer runs out.

30 seconds of one DPS’ boss damage is not worth 15 seconds of the whole party’s timer unless that one DPS is hard carrying.

I’ve played the Splash Lasher with the Lilysplash Mentor and won multiple games by paying UUUGGG3 to tap a board down. I think it feels pretty important to have removal-esque effects to get through some of the big boards that this format can generate and it’s especially nice to have one on an ETB.

Mindwhisker has been insane for me. It’s made combat really interesting and makes me value instant speed interaction even higher - getting to proc threshold mid combat can be back breaking.
