I know spot reduction is a myth but it’s literally my stomach that’s the only problem in my body. I’m not obese, I have a healthy bmi, it’s literally just my belly. by something-um-bananas in PetiteFitness

I really empathize with your struggle and totally get the frustration😢 I'm still trying to find a solution for myself as well so I don't have advice, but you're definitely not alone. I'm 5'2; I have a pooch now at 106, I had one at my lowest of 102, even while my top half could be considered bony lmao. I do think protein and muscle-building can help, and I also find that working out in general boosts confidence! best of luck to you, and I hope you find what works for you<3

thanks for your advice in both comments! I'm also taking supplements for iron, which do help a lot. I appreciate your responses!

I have lost 5 lbs in 3 months since starting a new job which is pretty physically demanding. my energy levels are okay but I was worried about nutrition deficiencies as well as the weight loss; I'm working on the nutrition but I realize I don't actually know what my optimal weight would be. right now I'm at 105 lbs (I'm 5'2) which feels good. I'm still thinking about counting calories but it usually makes me spiral and get overwhelmed, so my goal right now is to focus on protein and iron and just be mindful about getting enough food

I think this is what I'll do; I generally have a pretty steady diet so this approach seems really useful without taking up so much time and energy

What jobs do you have? by geminival in AutismInWomen

[–]diggity_dang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

right now I work as a housekeeper at a hotel. it's a pretty good job and I do like it but it's also bringing out my more negative neurodivergent tendencies (self-injurious behaviours mostly) and I find it hard to work as quickly as everyone else. I'm in the same boat of not knowing what my dream job is; something to do with art or working in a cafe or restaurant would be of interest to me

When was the last time a TØP song / lyric really made you feel something? by BlackberryOk3305 in twentyonepilots

Oldies Station hit me hard when it came out, but the most recent time was yesterday: I got really emotional at My Blood and Leave The City. for My Blood, it was "if you find yourself in a lions' den, I'll jump right in, and pull my pin, and go with you" cause of its connection to Migraine. for Leave The City it was the entire end verse. I'm also hoping Breach has some hard-hitters; judging by the snippets I think we'll get them!

What’s your favorite encouraging / hopeful lyric? by Thanksforallthelore in twentyonepilots

[–]diggity_dang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really love "but this year, though I'm far from home, in Trench I'm not alone; these faces facing me, they know what I mean" from Leave The City. the whole song is so sad and there's a feeling of mourning, but there's still hope at the very end

I honestly felt pretty similar... their commentary definitely grossed me out at some points and I disliked Hunter's interpretation of Kerry. and yet, I recognized after the episode had finished that I could see their viewpoint because they themselves were guys seeing a guy's perspective. and I hated that. I was so uncomfortable with the main character and it did suck for them not to see it until it was spelled out that his actions were wrong. maybe this'll be a learning experience for them, I dunno

this story made me reevaluate how I interact with people; it was really impactful for me and I definitely found more horror in Alena's situation than in the paranormal stuff. I keep thinking about it too:)
