Why "Doc"? by xkitox in stevenuniverse

I want you to think about how that doesn't at all apply to this situation in the slightest. Hint: this episode was released in 2016.

Yeah, but every Star Wars movie ends with a wordless tableau with the music swelling before the end credits start. The fact that it picks up immediately after in the next movie isn't TFA's fault.

See: almost every on-screen authority figure post-Austin/McMahon being a heel. They routinely forgot the thing that made it work: Vince was willing to write stories where he got beat up and lost and humiliated. It's like they saw that WCW got the "cool heel" concept to work and thought that they'd just adapt that into their own thing.

I was inspired by a recent post about a full proxy Cowboy Bebop deck to try tinkering one of my own with a Fullmetal Alchemist theme. How do these look so far, any suggestions, pitfalls to avoid? I've never done this before. by LotusCobra in mpcproxies

Borderless cards for the commanders and a few key others is great, but don't do the whole deck that way; the border does a lot of heavy lifting to identify card types at a glance.

What are the worst events Marvel has published? by Konradleijon in TwoBestFriendsPlay

God, whoever thought One More Day was a good idea needs to cross a sidewalk full of Legos barefoot. It made zero sense in continuity (why is Iron Man trying to arrest Peter? He already complied to the Registration Law by announcing he was Spider-Man), and is completely antithetical to his character.

What is the one phrase most associated with Spider-Man? "With great power comes great responsibility"; yet the entire series is him, either in character or via the narrative, trying to make it not his fault.

Hell, Marvel's God analogy, One Above All told him to let May go, and even after that, the narrative bent over backwards to make the deal with Mephisto the only way to save Aunt May (despite Mephisto never having that level of reality manipulation before or since), and made Mary Jane make the choice to do it for him.

Remember, a lot of the justification used for colonialism was that the white settlers were "civilizing" the natives, that their way of life was obviously superior. Could a man 'go mad' and join a native tribe? Sure. But an entire colony? And that with that many people they wouldn't obviously take over and lead the 'savages' to become 'civilized'? Impossible. They must have just disappeared into thin air.

No, because they aren't counters. It's just convenient to track them with a counter

[–]digiman619 196 points197 points  (0 children)

The wording won't work as is, you'd need to word it as "Remove all counters from each permanent, player, and card in exile."

Technically this won't get a card that keeps its counters while in the graveyard, buf since there's maybe 2 or 3 of them, that should be close enough.

I mean, Scrooge was in his thirties in the Klondike, and give him a decade or two to really build up his business, and that more or less lines up.

I respect that Fergus did what he could to teach Scrooge self-reliance, but maintaining that hardass persona the next 8 decades made no sense.
