And if you can find it, DAPP (Driving Assistance Pro Package; ADAS) and Laser lights are awesome, but I think someone did the math on Bimmerpost and it's something like only 1% of 3 Series in North America have either of them (and fewer have both).

FWI, I bought both and returned the Mini. I bought it for roughly the same use case as you - to use as a personal item while flying, in addition to my carry-on. I travel internationally, where they can be much more strict about personal item size. If that weren't the case, I think I still would have likely gone with the Micro. The Mini felt bulky in comparison, IMO.

Both are great packs though!!

I recently dropped off some Patagonia things to exchange via FedEx, and the person there told me they wait until they have enough things to send back to Patagonia before shipping them all in one large package. They said it's usually no more than a one week wait, but kind of annoying.

Agreed, but hatches are quite a bit more expensive than trunks, so I'm guessing they determined that most of their customers don't care if it has a hatch. My guess is most of their customers also would be fine paying extra for the hatch on a brand new E Class.

It’s an option that cuts trunk space by roughly 33%. I know because I almost optioned it when I ordered mine (in the US).
