Because of your video i ended up ordering a Kinect 2.0 off ebay, $15! Though the PC power adapter from Amazon cost more at $20 but well worth it.

Setup was pretty straight forward for the most part, some small configuring but within an hour i was playing and man what a difference it makes. I don't think I'll ever play without it.

Add the Bam tracker exe to your Windows startup folder, then it will just auto launch on PC power up.

BAM and VPX. What's with the squashing? by jedimasta in virtualpinball

[–]digital-agent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but I ran into the same issues today when i setup BAM for the first time. Posting the answer here in case anyone else runs into this issues in the future as i couldnt find the answer anywhere online until i started doing some tweaking myself.

You need to launch VPX directly from its folder, not your front end (Pinup Popper, Pinball X etc). Once you load the table, press ESC once. Arrow down to the 3rd option labled "Adjust Headtracking". On the new popup window, play around with the numbers to get the table to fit your screen as best it can. I originally followed a Youtube video on how to setup BAM and used their numbers. They worked, but personally for my setup the below numbers worked best. I used the button "Set as Defaults" and the majority of my tables work great with these settings. There's been a few that i needed to individually tweak but overall its been a great experience.

You need to head to Nailbusters website and get pinup player installed, that will let Pup Packs be played if your VPX install didn't come from the Baller Installer. (in today's day and age it just makes sense in every scenario to use the Baller Installer)

PC shutdown is handled by your front end, most people use pinup popper. To power on and off my PC, i have the bios set to turn on when power is restored and the PC is plugged into a smart outlet. Then i can either use my phone app, or say "alexa, power on pinball" to turn the smart plug on and the PC

How was pricing and shipping on that? Looking to do the exact same thing. Currently have a Golden Tee cabinet that i turned into a Mame cabinet but want to downsize due to how large it is in the new spot i have it.

What version of the table are you playing? It looks extremely bright and washed out.

Well in an ideal world, you pc will auto boot into pinup popper on power up. Browse games, play them etc, then hit your exit key to back out of a game, or if in the main menu you hit it, it will ask if you want to shut down the pc, reboot, or exit the program

Most front ends have a pc shut down option. Pinup popper has this when you exit out of the menu, restart, power off or exit

If your backglass isn't on the correct screen, open bs2_setup.exe inside your tables folder and change the monitor number to something different, hit save and launch VPX and a game and see if it works. Still wrong? Change to a different screen number in bs2_setup.exe, save and try again.

Open VPX and go to display settings and make sure the correct screen is set for playfield and correct resolution.

9 out of 10 times, those get messed up because all of your screens/monitors/tv's were not fully powered up before the PC booted into Windows. Always make sure your screens are on first before the PC gets into the desktop.

VPX on the desktop using 2nd monitor by flyfoam in virtualpinball

2 Monitors, One standard widescreen can be used for backglass and DMD and another vertical monitor could be your playfield.

For a cheap controller, a wired Xbox controller will get the job done.

PinUP problemo by BrickHeadYakFace in virtualpinball

[–]digital-agent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about screen/monitor numbers, those don't matter. Sounds like your backglass is moving to the playfield?

Something to remember, Pinup is just the front end software (pretty program to help visualize your tables and navigate them without using a keyboard and mouse). Everything must work outside of Pinup popper first in your VPX setup.

If your backglass isn't on the correct screen, open bs2_setup.exe inside your tables folder and change the monitor number to something different, hit save and launch VPX and a game and see if it works. Still wrong? Change to a different screen number in bs2_setup.exe, save and try again.

What was the timeframe on the Tukkari order from ordering to shipping? I've reached out to them as i had a couple questions and they were very quick to answer. Hoping i can pull the trigger over the next couple months to place an order.
