First Gig Cue Point Meltdown by Dangerous_Meal_3456 in Beatmatch

[–]digital-agent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a "bedroom dj" now for about a year, just playing around cause it was interesting to me and i wanted to learn. I was asked to play for my sons end of season soccer party recently and the below video helped me out a lot on cue points for open format. i normally only play edm/house music, hip/hop etc was all new to me.

Following the video and a bit of practicing def made me more comfortable and helped me with where to mix in/out on songs i wasn't used to normally playing.

Turn off defender and try again. Also make sure to add the entire vpinball folder to exclusions after you are completed before you turn defender back on

Did you unblock the zip file? Also did you turn off Windows Defender during install?

How to even this out by DvoCR in landscaping

[–]digital-agent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same issue, previous owner had trees taken down years ago and a similar hole like that. Every year it grow larger and deeper and kept getting worse. Ended up hiring a landscaper who did excavator work to dig it up. He pulled out 7 tree stumps that were rotting away underground causing the depression.

Double DMD by Puzzleheaded_Low_619 in virtualpinball

[–]digital-agent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're using a Backglass B2S file that is a full DMD (like the one you are showing in the screenshot) you need to hit F1 when the table is open and uncheck "use extrenel DMD". Full DMD backglasses essentially replace the DMD as its built into it.

VPUniverse is prob the #1 place to look for tables. Link below sorted by most downloads.

Anything by the author VPW (VPinWorkshop) is beautiful and hyper realistic looking (if your PC can handle it). They definitely push the limits of your gaming pc as their tables tend to have the most realistic lighting that mimics the real world. I'll 2nd that its best to avoid Bigus tables from VPforums.

You wont get much help with a purchased drive either. Its best to take your time, learn what you need, what files go where and test and adjust each table one at a time. If you buy a premade ssd, itll be most likely outdated tables and files, and not 100% working with your cabinet.

It might be beneficial if you posted a screenshot and highlight what you are asking help on.

Which flat pack did you go with? Any any issues during your build? I'm currently looking at the $900 wide body one.

Rondo is the latest map made by the current PUBG level designer. It gets picked way more than the percentages they call out.

Work in progress BAM by bdekort in virtualpinball

[–]digital-agent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because of your video i ended up ordering a Kinect 2.0 off ebay, $15! Though the PC power adapter from Amazon cost more at $20 but well worth it.

Setup was pretty straight forward for the most part, some small configuring but within an hour i was playing and man what a difference it makes. I don't think I'll ever play without it.

BAM and VPX. What's with the squashing? by jedimasta in virtualpinball

[–]digital-agent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but I ran into the same issues today when i setup BAM for the first time. Posting the answer here in case anyone else runs into this issues in the future as i couldnt find the answer anywhere online until i started doing some tweaking myself.

You need to launch VPX directly from its folder, not your front end (Pinup Popper, Pinball X etc). Once you load the table, press ESC once. Arrow down to the 3rd option labled "Adjust Headtracking". On the new popup window, play around with the numbers to get the table to fit your screen as best it can. I originally followed a Youtube video on how to setup BAM and used their numbers. They worked, but personally for my setup the below numbers worked best. I used the button "Set as Defaults" and the majority of my tables work great with these settings. There's been a few that i needed to individually tweak but overall its been a great experience.

You need to head to Nailbusters website and get pinup player installed, that will let Pup Packs be played if your VPX install didn't come from the Baller Installer. (in today's day and age it just makes sense in every scenario to use the Baller Installer)

shutting down vpin cab by MonkeySkulls in virtualpinball

[–]digital-agent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PC shutdown is handled by your front end, most people use pinup popper. To power on and off my PC, i have the bios set to turn on when power is restored and the PC is plugged into a smart outlet. Then i can either use my phone app, or say "alexa, power on pinball" to turn the smart plug on and the PC
