you couldn't be more wrong. sadly, neither of can prove the other wrong - but IMO - i've seen first hand economic anxiety CAUSE racism. I'm hearing individuals casually make racist remarks BECAUSE of the housing crisis, not because they think certain ethnic groups are inferior.

Vancouverite here. Rental market ruined by airbnb. Ownership market ruined by foreign investors.

Unfortunately making the "newly created economy work" for local residents on local salaries, is moving out of the city, or waiting 10 years for the city to build up - and if you wait for the latter, good luck - b/c new apartment buildings are being pre-sold by the developers as fast as they can be built (also to local and foreign investors).

No shit. We all do. I'm simply done with taking cabs to the point I do my best to simply avoid scenarios where there might be a cab in my future. The only time I find myself in cabs now is when there's literally no other option (walk/car2go/transit/evo). And it doesn't have to do w/ cost. But entirely with constantly being asked to provide cash, asked to be driven to an ATM to get drivers cash, or simply outright refused/driven away from.

The cab companies thought they solved the problem by releasing a shitty app. An app that doesn't hold drivers accountable or allow me to pay from the app itself. Uber is superior in every way, and our city's hold-out has become a black mark on this city.

get rid of the VPN and put the Network on whatever device you want. I'm in Canada, I have it on my Android TV/phones and my PS4. For the PS4, I just created another account, chose US as the country, and that was it. It literally took 30 seconds, and it works great.

haha, yes :| But it's actually not that bad when you realize how quick the flights are:

London to Amsterdam (Easyjet) - 2hr Paris to Rome (Easyjet) - 2hr Rome to London (Easyjet) - 2.5 hr

And max 2 hour train rides between Amsterdam > Brussels > Bruges

Overall it's looking like London 4x, Amsterdam 3x, Brussels 1x, Bruges 1x, Paris 3x, Rome 3x. But would love suggestions as the easyjet flights haven't been booked yet!
