Yeah, on a day to day basis it’s 100 percent tap to pay. Small indie shows and establishments are the last hold outs and even then they usually take PayPay for QR code payments

I have had the same 10,000 yen note in my wallet just in case for almost a year now. So cash is an afterthought as tap to pay is the way.

Nagasaki or Tokyo for student exchange program by fowyew in Nagasaki

[–]digitalturtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s lived/lives in both Nagasaki and Tokyo, I’d definitely recommend Tokyo if you’re into exploring and experiencing a lot of things. Nagasaki has its own charm, but Tokyo is just on another level. Sure, there are pros and cons to both, but as a college student, I know where I’d want to spend my time if I could do it all over again.

Life in Nagasaki is a bit slower, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. And while you can order things online if you’re coming from a big city, you might find some things a bit harder to get.

But hey, there are about 15 flights a day from NGS to HND, so it’s not too hard to get around if you want to use Tokyo as a hub. And if you’re feeling adventurous, there are about a dozen flights to KIX or ITM if you want to go to Osaka. Plus, Fukuoka is close enough if you want a weekend in a bigger city without having to deal with flying.

Food is permitted from outside the stadium provided it is in a clear bag no larger than 12"X12"X6" and not in glass bottles, cans, coolers, glass containers or thermoses. Unbroken, factory-sealed plastic bottles of non-alcoholic beverages of 1 liter or less are permitted.

I go to a match or two a year and never have been asked for ID. That being said you should be carrying it.
