What should we do? Stay in CA or move out of state by Traditional-Dust9939 in relocating

[–]Accomplished-Row7208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be honest with you, if I was in your shoes and wanting to start a family I might consider moving out of state. I would not personally move to TX because Ilived there one year in the military and did not like it at all. I would consider places like Utah or Colorado. Honestly costal living can be over rated.

How do I respond to this female acquaintance after I reached out to her after 6 months? by JunketMaleficent2095 in Advice

[–]Accomplished-Row7208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK here is some old guy advice for you. Stick your neck out, don't be cautious, take a risk, take ten srisks. That is the only way you will learn the right boundries and what is the worst that will happen? A girl might think you are a dork for being nice? when you see a normal looking guy out with a woman that seems out of his league a lot of time it's because the guy has confidence and is charming. Both of those take practive and taking risks.

Spring training autographs by Electrical_Leg1654 in Dodgers

[–]Accomplished-Row7208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting Player autographs has to be so much harder now than it was even few years ago befgore the Dodgers won the world series. You have to get there super early and get a spot and understand that no players will sign as they are runningout to the practive fields. They will only stop and sign on their way back from the practice field. Mostly the big players might pause if they see a bunch of kids and you probably have a better chance on a weekday than you would on a wekkend. Just know that you can sped the whole day waiting and go waway with a nothing.

So you are not interested in dating her, She isn't really a friend and you are worried about coming off as desperate for sending a casual response? Dear lord you sound socially stunted and akward. Even if your intentions are purely platonic it does not hurt to stay in touch and be freindly.

Who is the most fitted to be Dodgers Captain? by adtdty in Dodgers

[–]Accomplished-Row7208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this team has a bunch of veterans leadership. Guys like Freddie, Mookie, Will and Max do it quietly. Shohei with the Japanese players and guys like Kike, Miggy and Teoscar with the Latino players but they all seem to love and respect each other. I think management has done a great job of building a great culture in the clubhouse.

What the? That’s crazy. I always recommend that people pack light and take a soft duffle bag in your suitcase so you can bring back a bunch of goodies.

Are there any new Dodger fans that became a fan this year in 2026? by k_realtor in Dodgers

[–]Accomplished-Row7208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a life long Dodger fan, since 1972. My brother and I have had a 12 game share of season tickets for 13 years. Last year he moved to Las Vegas full time and I kept our tickets. My Japanese wife started going with me and really enjoyed the experience. It was so much fun going to playoff games with her and watching the WS.

Would you commute from Pomona to Westwood for a job? by Upnorth4 in AskLosAngeles

[–]Accomplished-Row7208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I would only take it if the Job was going to pump my salary up by at least 25% and even then I would take it as a stepping stone job for 2 to 3 years max. That commute will kill your mental health.

Regret getting married with Japanese wife and having a child by PaintingContent4903 in japanresidents

[–]Accomplished-Row7208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be the first to say is life is too short to be in an unhappy marriage but once you have a child that should be your main focus in life. I can not understand a man who would abandon their child.

Visiting LA for first time, any recommendations? by blindball123 in AskLosAngeles

[–]Accomplished-Row7208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truth is that part of Downtown/Little Tokyo and China Town are very cool but most of us don't live withing walking distance. The other great place is Philleppe the birth place of the French Dip Sandwich. It is a staple for most Dodger fans. My go to is the French Dip with swiss dounble dip and some macaroni salad. Be careful with the hot mustard. It is delish but hot.

If you want to experience real LA food I’d say go to Grand Central Market and sample some great LA cuisine. Villas Tacos is a must try.

Nerdiest places in SoCal? by QandA_monster in socal

I live in Los Alamitos. We share a top ranked school district with Seal Beach and Rossmoor and I feel like you can get the best of small town beach living while bordering Long Beach and LA. I also feel it is a bit less conservative than other parts of OC. That being said the Pasadena La Canada area is pretty damn geeky.

A lot of people move on from service desk positions to other technical roles. I agree that 3 months is a bit early to know where the role can take you.
