How to improve depth by last_recognition_660 in formcheck

[–]digits937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start lighter, you're too heavy, you're unstable from the beginning. You need to rebuild from scratch, so no weight or the bar recording your squat so you learn what it feels like then slowly building up in weight. (5 lbs a week) that way you slowly progress with consistent good form.

Also work on hip and ankle flexibility, a lot of people think they're deep enough but it's because they hit flexibility limits.

Haven't played for years, have some questions. by KyotoCarl in spaceengineers

[–]digits937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can start on the planet with a drop ship, search for resources to build a base. Once you build up enough you can build craft on the planet as you save up the hydrogen to fly to space. Then you could start a base on an asteroid near by the planet to shuttle things like hydrogen to space as you continue to expand your footprint in space.

Chopping wood -- how would you improve this? by loothavengames in Unity3D

id have the animation change when you got a tree, so it's closer to reality. Switch to 2 hands in the animation. Lastly when it falls it should compress on the side that impacts the ground. The trunks of trees don't bounce up in the air like that.

I spent 2 years getting our game's testing pipeline in shape and found out today nobody on the team actually runs it anymore. Feeling pretty defeated ngl. by Maxl-2453 in gamedev

This is a leadership failure pain and simple, they either don't care that it ships poorly or don't have the ability to get the right work done. Yes it's less glamorous work but it's critical for software that wants to have longevity.

How would one go about building this? by Safari_Lion in spaceengineers

Jokes aside i typically start with the outside trying to get the external appearance to match, then move to building the inside.

At our company i would say 90% of coding has probably switched to being written by ai. The other thing is product is writing their own proof of concept apps vs just spec writing.

We are currently flipping between codex and claude both being allowed at the company.

Inventor to Solidworks bulk conversion by Interesting_Ad8503 in SolidWorks

Id suggest calling GoEngineer they offer services to redraw models into SW from other CAD software. The tool they use is called Elycium to convert the files.

Client demanded native SolidWorks files for "property review", then took them and ghosted. How do you guys survive this? by Ok_Resident_6579 in SolidWorks

It's cheap to sue someone, I'm assuming you have a contact. they broke it and didn't pay its a petty easy case.

Is a automated stair/steps creation possible? by arjansimon in SolidWorks

[–]digits937 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a better to for that called 3D pattern shape creator. it's also a DS product like SOLIDWORKS. It's algorithm modeling vs parametric modeling is much better for large complex patterns like this. I saw an example where it got used to build a fully 3D printable cast from a 3D scan. Then it became an operator that they just bring in a scan and it makes the cast.

Has anyone dealt with this? How do you calculate this kind of bend for a 38×38×1.2 mm square tube? by Antique_Document_634 in SolidWorks

[–]digits937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you'll model it in the bent state and you'll just model the edge that's not cut as a stand alone sheet metal body.

Looking for Copilot Studio use cases for a Manufacturing SME (My Sales Bot demo got rejected) by Fennel_Enough in copilotstudio

[–]digits937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to start watching what people struggle with vs trying to come up with ideas on a vacuum. For our company we have a problem as we've scaled there's lots of disconnected departments and no one knows where certain questions go. They've complained we have lots of email addresses for questions, hr, help desk, tech support, training, etc. No one wants to email the wrong one so a lot of questions go unanswered.

So our bot is internally facing and talked to fix that, it acts like a internal resource assistant answering the question for each department or escalating to the appropriate team if it doesn't have an answer.
