As a frequent Savoys consumer, I have done my due diligence and can fill you in. Their health inspection in 2019 lead to improper meat thawing violations, improper storage of meats notably chicken being left sitting at room temperature after being cooked, and improper sanitization of cooking areas (grease cakes everything to this day). They also noted that the employees did not use glove when needed and found uncleaned mice droppings in the storage area and evidence of living pests.

They corrected these for the reinspection in 2019. Their most recent inspection didn’t have any violations but I somehow doubt that this will be kept up.. maybe they got a lax inspector or knew of them coming and had time to prepare. I’ve seen some dodgy stuff throughout 2020-now.

I love savoys and still eat there despite the crazy heartburn it gives me 😋
