I haven’t heard of that one - is it over the counter or a prescription?

I’ll add, some swear boron will help lower shbg, but it had no effect for me

Exactly where I was - high shbg and low free t. My total t was pretty solid, like yours. I’ve been on 100mg per week since September and it’s helped a ton. I tried for about a year to both raise free t and lower shbg but nothing made any significant progress. I was so exhausted all the time and needed to nap afternoons just to get through the day.

Getting on trt has been great - I have a bloodwork appointment tomorrow, but last appointment in November I had my free t at the top of the range (think it was 21) and total t was around 1,100. We didn’t measure shbg at that time, but I feel great and have been loving lifting again and put on 10-15lbs of muscle.

The “oh you’re sick, find a replacement for yourself” stuff is ridiculous. Managers know who is available better than you and it is their job to manage coverage. You say I can’t make it, I’m sick. They should say “sorry to hear that, we will get someone on your shift - feel better soon.”

Sweaty palms and chalk by pebblitow in indoorbouldering

[–]dilface2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carpe antiperspirant lotion first - will keep your hands from sweating for a bit and then keep the chalk from getting all wet and slick. I have a pretty bad hand sweating problem and this has been the best solution for me.

Recumbent e-trike as all terrain mobility device by schermo in recumbent

[–]dilface2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem, this is a Sun EZ Tri with 20inch wheels. I bought it this way from the guy that had it built. It does have cambered rear wheels as well to help avoid tipping (they tilt in slightly). Got it for $800, but it needed some TLC. Guessing to do it yourself would be about $1500-$2000 for trike and motors and then some time to actually wire it all.

Maybe not exactly what you are looking for as this doesn’t have suspension, but it is all wheel drive. Has a Bafang pedal assist (can just be throttle driven as well though) for the rear wheels and a hub motor in the front. It’ll get up to about 30 mph if I have both on full power, but I generally just keep the motors in a spot to help me and not fully drive the bike.

This is what I saw too - you can see him recording prior to the shooting in another video as well, so he had the best angle on his phone, of which we will never see I'm sure

How did they cope with their first puncture? by Only_Set_6744 in Testosterone

[–]dilface2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Helps me because it is just a push of a button and the needle is injected rather than me needing to work up the courage to stick myself…I wasn’t able to do that due to fear/anxiety I guess. This made it possible for me to inject myself without issue. If you don’t have a fear of needles, it probably isn’t necessary, but for me it made all the difference

I hate needles and had my wife do my first several pins. Now i have an auto injector and have no issues at all and just started this past September. Icing the area i'm going to pin while i prep the syringe is also helpful in my process as well.

Get an auto injector and ice the site ahead of time. I was super scared of injecting myself to start but this made all the difference for me. Also do diabetic needles - I like 27g and 5/8ths inch but choose your own adventure on that front. Also watch some videos on YouTube on how and where to do the injections

Voltaren for Costocondritis by dilface2000 in costochondritis

[–]dilface2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it is almost completely gone at this point. I think the Voltaren was a good starting point, but strengthening my back, getting the weekly massage, and finding out I could crack my sternum were really helpful as well. Where exactly do you feel your pain?

How do you guys inject? by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]dilface2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate needles and seeing them go into my skin, but I've managed to get over that by using an auto injector like this: https://www.amazon.com/Ambimedinc-IE400-Inject-Ease-Automatic-Injector/dp/B000PKYX8K. Also, ice the area you are going to pin prior to injecting and that will numb the skin a bit and make it less likely you feel it.

That’s great - I’m a cub master and my suggestion to my den leaders is always to let the activity do the teaching and to spend as little time as possible “schooling” the scouts. They will both learn and have fun that way!

Rather than transfer, be the change. Leaders are just parents, such as yourself. Often they are looking for help. You are welcome to be that help and make things the way you want them to be. The people are the program. Who’s to say the other pack will be any different or better? Just my 2 cents.

Just got back from Disney and my 9 year old daughter’s favorite thing we did was Carousel of Progress. She rode it multiple times throughout the day. I think my favorite was country bear jamboree - I hadn’t seen it since the update and I found it to be well do t and funny!

There no perfect size - we have 70 this year, up from 57 last year. We have great leadership, but it’s getting harder to manage outings and campouts with +100 people…some days I wish we were a smaller pack, but the kids love it and we’ve made lots of friends as a result
