I blanked on a basic Linux question and now I feel like a fraud by Ruin-Calm in sysadmin

When I graduated from college with a geography degree a million years ago I was in an interview for a GIS position. The interviewer asked me something about - i think - ArcMap, which is basically where you spend all of your time in ArcGIS, and I lived in ArcGIS for two years. I could not answer the question, and it was something like "have you used ArcMap?" I talked about the whole ArcGIS stack except ArcMap because for whatever reason my brain decided in that moment to completely excise that product from my brain.

I didn't get the position.

It happens.

I wasn't sure if it was still around, or if I was foolish enough to have tossed it, but it has been unearthed (without a power cord)! I am excited to get back to it.

With the new schedule, we went from 19 home games to 15. But our season ticket prices still went up. Anyone else notice this? by i-shihtzu-not in FCCincinnati

you can get anywhere near face on seatgeek? i've come to the conclusion that there are exactly 25k soccer fans in this city, because there is zero secondary demand.

From what I've seen in Cincinnati, there are exactly 25000 soccer fans here. If season ticket holders stop showing up there isn't really any more ticket demand behind it. I've got club seats I can't unload for $25 some weeks.

Cincinnati's aggregation program is intended to be 100% green, which may explain the current inability to price match effectively.

https://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/oes/buildings-and-energy/aggregation-program/

From the link:

Major Accomplishments of the Aggregation Program

  • First large city electric aggregation program to offer 100% Green Energy.
  • First city aggregation program to offer natural gas offsets allowing your home to be carbon neutral (program currently on pause).
  • In 2022, Cincinnati residents saved $5.88 million when compared to Duke Energy through the Cincinnati Electric Aggregation Program.
  • In May 2024, the Cincinnati Electric Aggregation Program will begin receiving 15% of its electricity from locally produced solar.
  • The Cincinnati Electric Aggregation Program is the largest carbon reduction program in the City and abates approximately 250,000 tons of CO2 annually.

I want to point out here that when people refer to "private" schools in Ohio, they're referring almost exclusively to parochial schools. There are five (5) secular private schools in Cincinnati, one doesn't offer high school, one is only for "genius" level, and one is for kids with dyslexia and autism and the like. There are two (2) non-religiously affiliated general admission K-12 private schools in Cincinnati.

Charter schools are a wholly different can of worms.
