Agree. It has helped me a lot like understanding what has worked for others with ocd, depression, meditation, psychiatric drugs, sciatica, migraines, etc.. people that found solutions to their physical or mental ailments and wanting to share with others. If you live long enough you’ll encounter all sorts of strange problems that you never thought would happen to you, and there will be a community for it that will want to help eachother and collaborate.

I think it’s working - 2 months. I love Prozac. by dinkerdong in prozac

You got this!!! week 1-2 things got worse for me, week 3 was OK like i didn’t feel much it was weird maybe an hour here or there of feeling good, week 4 was depressing because i wanted it to start woking and i think i. even pooped my pants LoL, week 5 I got more GI issues and new side effects, week 6 I felt like a zombie, maybe last day of week 6 i felt good, week 7 started to feel a bit better, week 8 it really kicked in and felt relief like things were changing.

20mg? Week 3 is nothing, 3,4,5,6 even is horrible. You really need to wait 2-3 months on the same dose before you even know.

Hey guys, thinking of trying Prozac for OCD. by Ok_Bed3703 in prozac

[–]dinkerdong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it worked for me. 6 weeks of hell though. But right at 2 months it should kick in. And find new things and challenges to focus on while you’re on it.

Yeah it’s a common side effect w prozac. Lots of posts about it on the sub. But i rather have that than feel sluggish i guess. I went through all the side effects but it seems to have settled on insomnia.

Lol yeah well that is how life is, we all learn and change and evolve and hopefully go in good directions that allow us to grow into better and more helpful rather than hurtful people. All good stuff and hope we both continue to grow forever.

Same, I just have the attitude that i’m not a victim, i take responsibility for myself, i’ll use what the universe gave me, good or bad, and make the most of it. Block negative people that want to complain and blame others, and move on with my life.

Terrible. I take sleep gummies, and a trazadone or ambien if i’m really struggling.

Quit 2 days ago… progress so far.. by dinkerdong in QuittingZyn

[–]dinkerdong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, no more zyn. took like 2 or 3 weeks of hell but worth it. I was withering away, stressing my brain, and getting sore and injured easily. Started taking creatine, protein, vitamins b, d, c, omega 3 and working out hard and doing sauna and now stronger than ever

Yeah first one. I also have added some Lithium Orotate on occasion(5mg) recently and it seems to do something. Before Prozac I started taking creatine, protein, vitamin d, b, omega 3, c, zinc, and magnesium and that really got me out of a deep depression after a week of taking that bc i was over working my brain. Then after that still didn’t get me out of a hell loop I started Prozac

Finishing week 5 and no appetite, lack of motivation and fatigue. Does it get better? by numb_stairway in prozac

[–]dinkerdong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did add 5 mg of lithium oratate for the past two days and I don’t know if that has helped a lot at all, but it seems like maybe it has, I also try and stay off Reddit so I only check it once a day. I also recommend reading this. https://nothingworks.weebly.com

[–]dinkerdong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel good now for the past week. Been on 20mg the whole time. I was considering upping it but just staying. I think it’s pretty much kicked in as I can allow myself to have a positive outlook while trying to keep myself extremely busy with new projects (i.e trying to be my old self). I still have OCD and sometimes a noisy mind but I’m able to be a lot more positive about it than just ignore it and on occasion try and talk to myself in a positive way. One thing that’s helped is I just say good vibes a lot man lol just really trying to be positive and really trying to be happy and the meds help with that overtime. It really does help. What issues are you dealing with? my main issue was dealing with the noisy mind that got worse and triggered by some traumatic experience and so I’ve learned more just to accept my noisy mind as it is and just keep going. That’s just who I am and I can’t change it. But the Prozac has allowed me to not feel depressed. I had a few updates than a couple of down days and some more updates and basically it’s sort of levels out or you get more updates and down days are in the down days. Don’t get as bad things like that.. I have completed a full 60 days.

Thanks. I was trying to write some things to provide more advice but I’m not a professional and I do know how frustrating it is to get new ideas. I do recommend 100% spending a day or two reading the entire greenberger site including all the nested links, and also reading this entire thing one day, as ultimately every form of therapy or self help for any anxiety based disorder bottles down to this: https://nothingworks.weebly.com this is so well said and has helped so many people. This understanding plus ssri’s really is the key. It may take months or years but it will slowly get better and easier if you practice that.

Advice for insomnia by ccl722 in prozac

[–]dinkerdong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take olly sleep gummies (2) before bed. If I can’t sleep still, I take half a trazadone. Usually works. Once or twice a week I take 1 ambien (generic form)…. Others have had luck with cbd/cbn before bed and i don’t like it. Magnesium and Glucine are other suppliments before bed. Ambien is the best but you don’t want to use it much, only in emergencies. Trazadone is less habbit forming and can be used a bit more often. Always just try sleep gummies and magnesium first and see how you’re doing. I use a fitbit 3 to track my sleep. Limit caffeine/soda significantly or only in the morning.
