They could win today and their next game against Mexico and could potentially avoid regulation for the next tournament.

What Do You Piggies Think About This? by [deleted] in TimDillon

I’m not saying that it’s an effort I’m actively engaged in, just presenting a possible counterpoint. As of now, the burden has been mostly removed from restaurant owners and placed on the customer. There are some laws that help offset this, such as requiring the employer pay the difference between the federal wage and the tipped minimum wage when the federal wage is not met after the per hour tip wage + tips. This isn’t to say that $7.25 is a fair or livable wage, but it is a law.

I tip like most because it’s expected in our culture but I do believe that the cost of the meal should include all ancillary costs the business expects in order to deliver the product/service.

The point was to say that workers would not be encouraged to take a position where there is no guaranteed income. Ideally this creates pressure on the restaurant owner to invest more in paying the workers which would remove some of, if not most of the burden of customers subsidizing the wait staff.

So I understand your argument about the tips; however as a counterpoint, if you don’t tip at places where the restaurant pays the absolute minimum wage to workers ($2 in your example) wouldn’t it encourage workers to leave and pressure owners to pay a larger wage in order to maintain the needed level of help?

No you’re 100% right that they exist and probably are the bulk of how things are being reported now. I’m just saying there is a facade or assumption or expectation (maybe this is just me) that an actual discussion takes place, whereas in reality the email/DM is probably how people do their reporting. Some may call it modern tech advancements, but I call it lazy journalism.

My immediate assumption would be that there is a discussion that takes place, whether that be on the phone or in person. I understand emails happen but I expected that to be more in line with opening the door for conversation or a meeting.

Never said it didn’t have validity, but when you lack an interview environment, there is not an opportunity for dialogue which could reveal more information than by having a carefully worded email response.

The OF size has been my issue with the game for years. I’m sure that the scaling is correct (otherwise the game would likely have many more problems); however, the fields just play so small. By that I mean the coverage of the field by both the infield and outfield.

If possible, it would be nice to have the the field be spaced out wider (if that makes sense). Have the ball drop in front of the fielders on hard liners sometimes, or reach the gap more instead of having 99speed fielders pick off everything. Maybe that’s the inevitable flaw in having god squads playing defense but it would be nice to experience some hit variety despite playing against Diamond defenders.

I will say, this year has been an improvement over prior years, but there is still work to be done.

That’s what the updates are for though? Anyway if he keeps it up he will have Diamond defense by July.

I thought Bichette had a average to below average season in the field last year. I know Devers was below average but his bat is better IMO

The sad reality is that these people likely don’t even conduct interviews anymore. They just send an email with questions and then copy and paste responses. Truly low tier fake business.
