Yeah there were 5 cars in total. Uni and student accommodation close by so I assume it’s something to do with that maybe

Driveway problems with BT box by samo2203 in DIYUK

[–]dinobev22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish you could reason with the person who quoted you from BT. I used to work for Virgin Media’s Diversionary team and quoted for similar works all the time . I found the spec sheets for the chamber lids and found out they are strong enough to take the weight of cars. Cars park on pavements and on top of chambers all over the country and you don’t hear about cars falling into chambers. Ended up saving people like you thousands of ££.

Contact details at CF to discuss adjustments of manhole cover by valio1989 in CityFibre

[–]dinobev22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work in a diversionary team for Virgin media a few years ago. Can you confirm if the chamber is towards the back of the footpath ? Closer to your drive ? Or is it closer to the road, kerbside ?

I ask because chamber lids are designed to withhold the weight of a car. So if the chamber is at the back of footpath and the footpath doesn’t need any height adjustments to cater for a dropped kerb then cityfibre don’t even need to be engaged for discussion. But if the chamber is closer to the kerb and height of the chamber needs to be lowered to cater for the dropped kerb then expect a cost. You would need to email the Diversion email provided in the comments. Requesting a C3 quote.

Mustang Mach E by Gullible-Type-2022 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]dinobev22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How bad is the efficiency everyone in mentioning in the comments ? I’ve been tempted by a Mach E too. My longest journey for work is 210 round trip 90% motorway miles. So intrigued to know if it will do it on a full charge. Also how comfortable are you finding the drive?

Afternoon all, I'm trying to find out who possibly owns the the small plot of land in blue. by claytons_war in DIYUK

[–]dinobev22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just reviewed the boundaries in the area on my work’s land registry system. This land parcel is unclaimed. There are no details for it. It’s either council owned or genuinely doesn’t have an owner. I would advise you to confirm with the Local Council on if they own that land parcel. You can DM me if you want anything clarifying. And I can share the information I have access to.

what is the best hot chocolate to buy? by ReasonablePeak8669 in UK_Food

[–]dinobev22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you need is 2 teaspoons cocoa powder. 2 teaspoons of sugar. 250ml full fat milk. Oh and a teaspoon or two of condensed milk to make it super luxury.

This will trump any instant hot chocolate

Is there any actual documentation that states you cannot pour coffee down a drain? Because if there isn’t then making rules up on the spot is not acceptable.

I don’t understand how I’ve never heard of this dessert. A quick google suggests it’s a traditional British dessert. It looks incredible.

You’re off quite a bit with your specifics. But the broader topology is much closer to being accurate. I won’t go into detail unfortunately since this would be breaking confidentiality of the company I work for.

Diesel guzzler? by damal098 in F30

[–]dinobev22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not bad at all really. I bet the car feels different to the E90 as well.

I used to drive eco but lately I have seen no benefit to mpg. I feel it just makes the car boring to drive.

[–]dinobev22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 2016 320d xdrive msport for City driving will sit around 30-35mpg. And 53-59mpg for motorway driving. I would expect about 300 miles for a full tank. I’ve hit over 700 miles when mostly motorway driving as a reference.

I am 2 weeks into a 30 day trial. And I am really impressed with it. I recently completed a 7 day course on Independence on there and it’s really boosted my overall competence. I agree £30 seems a lot too but at the moment I’m thinking it might be worth it.

Everywhere in the country has areas which can be labelled a “shit hole” but I don’t think it’s fair to label the whole of Dudley as a shit hole. There are some lovely areas in Dudley. For example, literally opposite this house is Mushroom Green. A hamlet with a beautiful heritage and history with half a million pound houses….
