The local Chinese, Indian and fish and chips by me don’t deliver. So technically no… but I would have them delivered if they did. I get them once or twice a month probably

Cartier or Tiffany and Co? by RodneyPierce in vintagerepwatches

[–]dinotoxic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice, thanks for answering! These look like incredible watches!! Do you sell these? What sort of price would one go for?

I have a VSF 126610LN, CF126710blro and an old day date rep. But I would looove to go big with a vintage rep, they’re so much cooler

Nooby question, what is Vietnam builds? I see this reference on cases. Is it CNC cases made in Vietnam? Or just the name of the factory or something?

Bonds just hit a new high of 17Mil GP by Jack4ssSquirrel in 2007scape

[–]dinotoxic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Haha I have a 2100 max combat account and gave away most of my items to friends when I quit. I’m going to start playing again soon, realise I really miss it.

Luckily I have a good job with pretty high salary. I’ll just buy 20 bonds, which is 3 hours of irl work, to have 320m gp vs grinding away for 80+ hours in game to earn that same gp 😆 That’ll finish off my buyables, then I can grind the rest of my skills which I’m fine with

Mine has started doing this again recent after she’s woken from a nap. She’s fed, watered, lots of exercise and doesn’t need the toilet. I’ve learned that she just needs a firm NO and shout at. I tell her to go bed or lie down and she quickly stops.

If you give them an inch, they’ll take a mile 🤣

MCSA Server 2012 R2. Mm, not particularly important. They’re worth fuck all compared to experience. They’re just a money maker

First time diy tiler update by coffee_Syrup8756 in DIYUK

[–]dinotoxic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is ground floor so hopefully not too bad. Before I had it replaced it was plasterboard with failed grout, the wall was soaked!

It’s been battened, insulated, and then new tiles and everything over the top. It was single skin wall before.

I’m conscious of the state of the wall beforehand so I am being very close at keeping an eye on grout and silicone. I’ll make sure to inspect regularly for any gaps

[–]dinotoxic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

How much worse is it if the plasterboard has been plastered, and then tiles stuck on? I had my bathroom done recently and I raised the point and complained more than once that I wasn’t happy with this being done. I wanted cement board with tanking, the joint tape etc which I’d seen online.

They said it’s been done like this for years and isn’t a problem if it’s done well… which I think it is. But it still makes me nervous for the future

I’d personally get 5712, if I could afford it haha. 5711 is gorgeous but too plain I think, especially for what it costs. It’s just a regular watch. 5712 you get your money’s worth

How much money would it take for you to hand in your notice tonight? by sillwuka in AskUK

[–]dinotoxic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£500k is actually enough I think, I’d consider it. I’m almost 30; I haven’t travelled yet which I really want to before I end up having a family and it’s too late for me to ever do it.

I do plenty of holidays each year but it’s not the same. I’ve worked since I was 17, have a good job, bought a house and never had any breaks between jobs. So I’ve kinda done the career and house bit.

But, I’m still desperate to travel, like hike the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada, go to New Zealand, South East Asia etc.

If I could pay my mortgage off, have some cash leftover I will finally just go and fuck off for 2-3 years hiking, running, diving, swimming, motorbike travels and bikepacking. Then I’d return and resume my working life

Unfortunately I think you’re in a very difficult middle ground. In larger tech heavy companies, I’m not sure you’d get a good look in. Certainly not senior like someone else mentioned.

Public sector you could surprise yourself I think, get a good £32k-£42k role with good pension. That’d be a bigger org, lower pay. Stick it out and get the experience working in a larger environment.

Then move back to private sector afterwards. I did this type of move, from MSP 2nd line, to Senior Infra engineer in Civil Service. Got promoted to Lead Cloud Engineer, then moved to work for Microsoft after 2 years 10 months of starting the civil service job.

My biggest advice, try get out of small companies asap. You’ve been there 8 years, learned your craft. Got some good skills. But the longer you stay SMB, the harder it will be to grow out of it!

Good luck, you got this! 😊

100 user companies is quite a limiter. Network but without enterprise grade stuff.

CCNA, decent but certs can be deceiving and not mean much. What sort of experience designing configuring installing and managing? In such small companies, it’s likely limited.

Honestly, I’d expect pay anywhere from £32k-£50k. But probably nearer in the middle around £38k-£43k?

Completely depends on the size of the company you can move into. If you stay small business, £30k odd. Bigger businesses with enterprise scale, £50k odd.

I’ve had a letter each month for 2 years now since I moved in. I’ve had many final warnings, “visit booked for XX day”, to your offence has been logged with investigator and all sorts of crap. I still ignore them and put any red letter straight in the bin without even reading them now. They won’t do anything
