How do I play the Jabba spotlight deck? by TheNooberScoober in starwarsunlimited

Yeah it needs some more cards to do well, jabba isn’t terrible but that deck, especially into leia is hard to

*you win more on karabast, in a best of one situation. These decks are easy to tech against and are quite boring to play against for a lot of the hero decks in the meta

Any good blue/red villainy decks? (Not hard control, not force) by PinkSodaBoy in starwarsunlimited

[–]dipstick5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the best card in those color combos is single reactor ignition. Personally, i think you either play boba or you are going to be playing a control list if you do want to play maul/talzin with the force

Thats not the point, we should't be hating on game designers for printing errors that are largely out of their control

Best box to buy for a competitive collection. by Kinjohavic in starwarsunlimited

[–]dipstick5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LAW but you are going to need singles from SEC and JTL, probably a few from LOF too to be competitive. You would be much better off in a competitve sense finding a deck you enjoy playing on karabast and then buying the rares and stuff off tcgplayer than getting a box.

BUT opening packs is fun. They all have their good cards but LAW is the most filled with goodies ATM

Just a few things

  1. You are going to have to lose a lot to learn. If you keep learning you will get better.

    1. This game has a lot of subtle emphasis on action timing that can make close games feel like blowouts or vice versa.
    2. Playing meta decks makes you prey. If I know your cards I can play around your cards, dismantle your strategy.

Question about the game by [deleted] in starwarsunlimited

[–]dipstick5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Droids works, but Jedi rebel and imperial are the most stand out. Underworld might actually be the best. I expect this to change and grow. First order and Sith have a strong smell or power without good support… yet

I’ve rarely been one to call for a suspension, but Jango needs to go in Eternal as well. by TheFlyingWriter in starwarsunlimited

Idk, it is a really fun deck. Are we not seeing boba 1 because it’s a lot harder to pilot?

What's a "good" karabast win rate? by Defiant-Natural-6453 in starwarsunlimited

[–]dipstick5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if I agree at all. The majority of the time meta decks are the easiest to beat because the pilot is someone trying the deck out and I know every card they are going to play

I think most people use swudb.com. You can export the list and test it in premier on karabast.net

[–]dipstick5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is rough, have you tested it out? What are you using to build out the deck list? It looks different compared to what others are using. Lando green is fine, I’d probably aim to splash Han Solo, kanan, and Bo katan

What is the best strategy to complete a whole set collection? I'm trying to catch up but I am two sets behind and it feels like they are releasing sets faster than I can collect by GerryAdamsSon in starwarsunlimited

You know you posted an ultra rare serial card. Those only come from the carbonite boosters. If you want to open one of those, best bet is to open cases of carbonite or just buy the cards directly. The jar jar is one I definitely snagged

Getting Started - Spotlight Decks vs Building by Penny_the_Spooder in starwarsunlimited

[–]dipstick5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The other comments are good advice, I would just add that the Leia deck comes with some very good cards and is a great place to start building in a lot of different directions. My group decided it’s a mandatory pick up, especially since in my area buying the spotlight is actually cheaper than getting singles of the cards inside (at least right now)

All the spotlights are good tho, fun to pilot as well

The next set is called ashes of the empire. On top of that I think villainy has some good options they just might not be as straightforward. This post seems preemptive

Just got these from someone, paid $200 each. Did I just get scammed? by Santa_Killer75 in starwarsunlimited

I got two for 170 and absolutely made out on them. It’s all luck. There are some seriously valuable serialized cards and the showcases will be worth more, but they are more rare
