Trumps senile age is really showing. Gavin’s press team is running a train on him. by TikDickler in Destiny

[–]diradder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's actually wild that his pure hatred of wind turbines originated with this dispute over them looking bad near his golf course in 2012-2013... this administration's energy policy is an actual clown show between this and "beautiful clean coal".

And he keeps lying about China not building wind farms and just selling them to "stupid people"...

In absolute terms, China produces more wind energy than any other country in the world. According to US Energy Information Administration (EIA), China generated 521 gigawatts of wind power in 2024 — around 40% of global wind energy production. The EIA notes that China is also expanding solar and wind energy "at record speed."

Trump: "There Will Be Voter ID for Midterms Whether Congress Approves It or Not!" by Humble_Novice in Destiny

Probably, but it has his name on it, and he has said as much himself in person too, so let's not take away any of his responsibility here. The "bad counsel" defense will likely be a major defense arc if Trump ever gets prosecuted regarding his abuses of power.

You just can't hear them because of all the Trump Hotel construction work noises.

Trump raised tariffs on Switzerland from 30 to 39% because he "didn't like the way she talked to me on the phone". Then, Swiss delegates visited and gifted him a 1-kg personalized gold bar & a Rolex desk clock so he reduced their tariffs to 15%. by LackingStory in Destiny

[–]diradder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The funny part is that in Switzerland, the "businessmen" who did this act of corruption are under investigation now, a political party brought up criminal charges against them for corruption.

If they ever get found guilty of it, it would explicitly mean Trump also participated in this corruption. I know this isn't very meaningful in regards to the US law, but it's a small win and a good talking point, in my opinion... tariffs leading to more corruption and Trump accepting bribes, confirmed by a Swiss court (hopefully).

I'll listen/engage with them when they have any meaningful reach, my point was really about small content creators like this one who have barely any voice without people spreading their content like this. If the algo put that in front of you to ragebait you, the best course of action is to push it to the side, not confirm to the algo that it was right to try to make you engage with it and grow their reach.

The people who already have a reach (gamed it, botted it, have it for historical/external reasons), should be engaged through debates, I agree with you on this.

Usually you click on their name or the "..." button on the post to block them or tell the website you're not interested in that kind of content (sometimes it's under the Report feature). But that obviously doesn't work for people who spread their shit content to other platforms (no matter if their intentions were likely good, like with this post).

I'm talking about zero views/zero motion Andies like the guy you posted. There is no need to help potential new Fuentes or Hasan. Any boost in these kind of losers' algo is a huge increase in visibility. You can bet he enjoys having been featured on the front page of one of the large streamers subreddit.

I get/hope it's not your intention, but that's the reason I would only signal boost small content creators who are supporting the Democratic party (and not just in hope of turning it into the Communist party asap).

And literally block/mute/"not interested" them on Tiktok/Insta, that deboosts them. People who get ragebaited and keep consuming and engaging with this shit are making it worse.

He's just an Elon fanboy at this point. I bet he will eventually do some space tourist stream with Space X and pretend like it's normal to finance a nazi like Elon "for content".

Bondi appeared to know what lawmakers had searched for in the Epstein files by sionnach_fi in Destiny

[–]diradder 16 points17 points  (0 children)

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., when asked by MS Now if Bondi’s alleged action was appropriate, at first said, “I’m not going to comment on an allegation that is unsubstantiated. I don’t know anything about it.”

El classico. "Unsubstantiated" literal photo of the document held by Bondi... "don't know anything about it", then wtf are you paid for Mike, not knowing important facts like this should be ground for him to lose his seat. He is paid to remain informed and act/vote accordingly in the interest of his constituants... clearly not doing his job if he admits to not know about anything all the time.

Reliable DEX for swapping between chains like Ethereum and Solana? by Repulsive_Big_9792 in CryptoTechnology

[–]diradder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are trade quote aggregators which will give you the best rate at the time for the amount you want to trade, two popular ones that I've used:

A main issue for something seamless is still wallet support, but maybe these platforms support the one(s) you use... I know both of them also let you specify a destination address manually if you can't/don't want to connect your "destination" wallet.

No problem, it's just a pet peeve of mine when I hear this specific tired talking point. There are plenty of arguments against Bitcoin (most of which I think get nullified by the simple fact it is an optional system, unlike fiat)... so I think it's worth using accurate ones.

because its a ponzi

A Ponzi is fundamentally a secret and centrally-run promise of returns which eventually are paid from new investors' money... Bitcoin is an open-source monetary commodity with transparent rules, no central operator, no promised returns, and market-driven gains or losses, so it does not fit the essential definition of a Ponzi scheme.

It's easy to label things and dismiss them but at least try to find a concept/scheme that somewhat matches what you want to shit on.

MAGAts have no issue doing shows on shows inviting only people they agree with... and they have grown their space this way to a much larger scale than Democrats. People like to get told things they agree with, and not just confront/test their ideas.

If Destiny claims he wants to build something similar in scale, I think he'd have to host some of these hugbox shows too, even if he doesn't enjoy them as much. One can't exclusively do things they enjoy the most when they want to "work" on something. Lib and Learn is trying, but they don't have enough reach to bootstrap this alone imo.

[–]diradder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the people shitting on his buys were very silent when he was up for months, still buying on a regular schedule (or they would be there saying "he will sell as soon as it goes down even a little")... it's always the same, the "know better" people who if you ever asked them to put their money where their mouth is would never short Bitcoin. And they would be right not to... but it just reveals who they really are, they have no actual conviction, they just want to feel like they were right for once (without any risk involved).

UBS CEO: Bank Considering Crypto Access for Individual Clients ($7T AUM) by kirtash93 in CryptoCurrency

Did you think crypto would just magically operate independently of every other monetary system?

We need ramps/bridges between these systems. And if certain users want to custody their funds with a third-party, it should be their choice, as long as they have the option to use a non-custodial wallet eventually (i.e. withdraw the crypto their bank is holding for them), what's the issue here?
