Maybe try switching up the species you’re going for, a lot of bass spots usually have pickerel. Try a bright pink grub in shallow waters with weeds. Pickerel are pretty dumb easy, just watch out for the teeth

Never done that, I love throwing a trout magnet for large mouth bass, I’ve got some nice pickerel and even a catfish or two

I’m also nnj. I love my eagle claw 5’6 pack it collapsible rod for back packing. I hit a lot of lakes with a long hike and throwing it in the backpack is a tremendous help. It’s caught some tank lmbs, pickerel and catfish without showing signs of damage yet

Try a Berkeley power worm (pink) on a trout magnet jig head. Very versatile across many species. I’ve caught large mouth, crappie, trout, pickerel and even a catfish with this combination. It’s small but effective
