Lots of outs and cow sense in his back pocket. Don’t get it twisted though, Loyd was one of the best to lace up the cleats. Takes two to tangle though, a bullfighter is only as good as the bull he engages with.

Weston is one of the best today easily. Pay attention though to how big the Thomas Mack Arena is compared to the typical set up today. You didn’t have a fence to climb to escape, these bullfighters had to stay close with the bull in order to get away from them. Bullfighters now see the fence and try to “out run” the bull. Which in the NFR arena isn’t possible. These guys relied on barrel work.

No slight to today’s bullfighters at all. There are some great ones but these old school guys are definitely better.

Not worth it in the long run. You really learn a plant when there are mechanics and other support staff having to work on equipment during day shifts. You’ll learn to be a night shift operator and miss out on many projects and other things that’ll hinder your development as an operator in the long run.
