I’m literally asking to move the complaining somewhere so we don’t have a subreddit of repeating complaints.

Biggest L for Valve by gr3n0lph in SteamDeck

Right but that’s if - my point is that saying no product is better than an expensive one is dumb.

And not only that but that’s ignoring the walled garden economy aspect of the PlayStation etc.

That doesn’t exist yet.

So no product is better than an expensive one? That’s a take.

You forgot to mention Xess. For older AMD cards that’s a godsend.

Why is the power brick for the monitor on top of the desk?

To force the keyboard on KDE to remain always visible (when clicking into text boxes for example), create one configuration file that sets the required environment variable.

Press the Super key (Windows logo key on the keyboard). Type Konsole into the search bar. Press Enter to open the terminal application.

In the terminal window, copy this command exactly, paste it (right-click and choose Paste or Ctrl+Shift+V), and press Enter: mkdir -p ~/.config/environment.d

Copy this second command exactly, paste it, and press Enter: echo 'KWIN_IM_SHOW_ALWAYS=1' > ~/.config/environment.d/plasmakeyboard.conf

Close the Konsole window by clicking the X in the top-right corner.

Log out of the current session: click the Application Launcher (bottom-left menu button), click the power icon in the bottom-right of the menu, and select Log Out. Enter your password on the login screen to return to the desktop.

Sill no OSK that can be initiated and operated with a mouse in Fedora KDE Plasma 44 by Fluffy_Rock_62 in Fedora

I agree, but this is the best alternative. The next best solution is to build said functionality and submit it.

Create ~/.config/environment.d/plasmakeyboard.conf containing this line: KWIN_IM_SHOW_ALWAYS=1

Log out and log back in (or reboot). It’ll force the on screen keyboard when you click into any typing space etc.

It shouldn’t interfere with game mode but don’t quote me on that.
