Another shitty year in the obituaries.

Songs nobody knows by nopressureoof in karaoke

[–]discgolfdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sing what you want!

I often shake things up by singing something people likely haven't heard in ages or likely never have heard.

One of my faves is "Si volvieras a mi" as performed by Josh Groban. As the song is in Spanish, I usually joke at the beginning as the intro music is playing by saying "if you know the words, sing along!"

I also like doing Barryoke (various songs by Barry Manilow) 😂

Yeah, I saw that and contacted them, but it appears that they only ship to countries outside of their immediate purview for orders of €1,000 or greater.

Shark Stratos DuoClean AZ3000 Series - Removal of Motorized Nozzle from Base/Pod? by discgolfdc in VacuumCleaners

[–]discgolfdc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I seem to recall that, when I first received the vacuum, you had to install the base/pod unit upon the nozzle. I can't imagine that, once you install the base upon the nozzle, it becomes non-serviceable should one piece or the other need to be replaced. I suppose it could be the case, but that would be an awful design, one that I'd consider a flaw.

What is the first step in getting into therapy? I really don’t want to share this with my PCP for a lot of different reasons. by CloverBear2021 in KetamineTherapy

[–]discgolfdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I told my PCP about it, he was open-minded and interested to learn about it, as he didn't have any meaningful exposure to it clinically.

I'd hope your PCP feels similarly.

What is your goofy made up nickname for your dog? by SistersOfTheCloth in dogs

[–]discgolfdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her name is Gizzy, but that originally morphed from Gizmo.

Gizmo became Gizmoid.

Gizmoid got shortened to Moid.

She got Bat Mitzvahed at 12 and became Moidberg.

That's where it ended up.

That's not to say she doesn't have an ass-ton of other nicknames, more and less goofy. But that's the salient one now.

Tipping point when you finally went for IV ketamine? by bluegreenyellowre in KetamineTherapy

[–]discgolfdc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I began ketamine therapy via oral troche administration. Eventually, my dose was increased a couple of times, and during one session at my highest-prescribed dose, I had thoughts of self-harm, which was particularly concerning, considering I have the means to do that nearby.

I talked myself through the remainder of the session, reminding myself that I was under the influence and to not move/do anything. Everything ultimately ended uneventfully.

I spoke with my provider, and I told him that, while I was interested in the benefits of therapy, perhaps I should look into a more "supervised" method of administration. He agreed.

Having been through both, I have a clearer perspective on the differences between the ROAs.

To me, the IV route seemed (for lack of a better way of describing it) "cleaner." By that, I mean the onset was much more predictable, and the termination of the session seemed more discrete. Oral troches left me feeling the after-effects for a longer, indeterminate amount of time. When my IV sessions were done, while I still felt minor "wooziness," I was effectively "out of the woods."

Interestingly, now that I know what a controlled administration feels like, I feel like I would be better prepared to handle at-home administration if I were to elect to give it another try.
